Food Scientist- CFSN | MNIFST | Quality Management System | Food Safety Professional | QSR Operations Management | Food Technologist.
Do you need a quality control manager(QCM), quality control (QC), or quality assurance (QA) officer? This post is not meant to encourage negligence, laziness, compromise or inability to multi task. I saw an advertisement from a company seeking a QC/QA officer, and the job summary listed responsibilities that combined the roles of a QCM, QC, and QA. Remember, there are differences between these three positions: A quality control manager[QCM] oversees the entire quality control process, develops policies, and manages both quality control and quality assurance efforts to maintain product standards. Quality control officer [QC] focuses on inspecting and testing products to ensure they meet specified standards and quality assurance officer [QA ] involves developing and monitoring processes to ensure consistent quality. I have experienced a situation where I served as a QA officer, QCM, and R&D. It was not easy but I managed the roles well, thank God I did not break down. Stop making the QC job cumbersome so that they can focus on their quality role. While versatility is valuable, expecting someone to handle the responsibilities of three positions and still deliver quality results is unrealistic. If you want to post a job vacancy, please do thorough research to understand the roles before posting. Expecting a QC or QA officer to also take on roles such as research and development [R&D], QCM, marketer, and more with a minimal salary is unfair and impractical. Please, let's do better so we can achieve quality results. For the quality control or quality assurance officers, this post is not an excuse to be lazy and blame your company for making your work tedious. Do not compromise or neglect your duties. To manage a heavy and challenging workload, prioritize your tasks, seek support from your team, and communicate effectively with your superiors about the challenges you face. I hope those concerned see this post and act accordingly. Thank you for reading, and feel free to Repost this to your network if you find it insightful. Happy new week. ©️ Okeke, Ifeoma Vivian. #QualityControl #QualityAssurance #BusinessOwners #Recruiters #FoodManufacturing #LinkedInCommunity #Pharmaceutical #FoodSafety.

POSITION TITLE: SUPERVISORY QUALITY ASSURANCE SPECIALIST PP-SERS-GRADE: GS-1910-12 LOCATION: NORFOLK, VA (NSTF YORKTOWN) ANNOUNCEMENT NUMBER: ST-12346153-24-JLB OPEN DATE: WEDNESDAY, MARCH 13, 2024 CLOSE DATE: MONDAY, MARCH 18, 2024 (CLOSES AT MIDNIGHT) TO VIEW THE FULL JOB OPPORTUNITY ANNOUNCEMENT, PLEASE GO TO: https://lnkd.in/g-B_tH_H SPECIAL ATTENTION: Please review attached and below that has information on documentation requirements. (If you do not submit ALL required documents, you will not meet the “Area of Consideration” requirements and will be considered ineligible): Are you applying for a promotion? If you are a current GS employee applying for a higher grade than the grade that you currently hold you must provide an SF-50 that shows that you have held the next lower grade of GS-11 for at least one year. SF-50s effective within the last 52 weeks will not always demonstrate you have held the next lower grade for at least one year (e.g. General Adjustment SF-50 from this year). In many cases, we need to see two (2) SF-50s to determine time-in-grade and eligibility for promotion. If you are a DoD employee, you can obtain a copy of your SF- 50(s) from MyBiz (https://lnkd.in/dJviYJmd) This means you will need to submit your most current SF50 AND the SF50 when you became a GS-11. Are you applying for a transfer/reassignment? If you are a current GS employee applying for a transfer/reassignment (you are currently a GS-12), you must provide an SF-50 when you became a GS-12 and your most current SF-50. Are you applying as a VEOA? You must submit a copy of your latest DD-214 Certificate of Release or Discharge from Active Duty (any copy that shows all dates of service, as well as character of service [Honorable, General, etc.] is acceptable) OR a VA letter that shows dates of service or service connected disability AND character of service. If you have more than one DD-214 for multiple periods of active duty service, you should submit a copy for each period of service. If you were issued a DD-215 to amend aforementioned information on the DD-214 you must submit that too. DD-214 Member COPY 4 and a current Civil Service Preference Letter from https://www.va.gov/

Is your quality system not supporting your business? Let's fix that! 🤝 25 years of corporate quality & food safety management experience, now using my knowledge and experience to help others.
💥 The "Why" Behind Quality: It's Bigger Than You Think 💥 Ever have one of those days where you question your career path? ♂️♀️ Those moments hit me regularly in my 30 years in quality. Even a Chief Quality Officer at a massive company confided in me that the "you must be crazy 🤪" stereotype rings true sometimes. But here's the thing: the answer lies in the passion for quality management. It's the unwavering belief that things can always be improved, that tomorrow can be better than today. This drive is what keeps you going, especially when the company culture aligns with your values. ⏳ Even facing long days as a lab technician, I take pride in the work done and still use those brands today. 🤦🏻 As a site quality manager, feeling unheard was a constant battle. But I found solutions to make a positive impact, and I'm happy to help others facing similar challenges (DM me!). 🏆 Vendors and contract manufacturers pushing back? Been there! But seeing the complaint rate stay flat after all that effort? Priceless reward. ✈️ Traveling constantly as a Group Quality Director fueled the "why" question too. But the positive feedback on our new quality vision from site managers? Pure energy to keep going. The "why" is a natural part of the quality journey. Remember, your impact is bigger than most realize. Stay passionate about quality! Follow or connect with me for insights and expertise to help companies achieve sustainable quality management. #qualitymanagement #continuousimprovement #careeropportunities
