With the mounting pressure to survive within a mega competitive system that feasts on the same limited resources, thriving has become a privilege, and the less-privileged have it none. We are aware that sheltering those experiencing homelessness is not sustainable by itself and would not solve the homelessness crisis that has taken over our bridges, streets, and economy. This is why Sheltered Hope Initiative has taken its time to familiarise itself with the homeless community, their needs, and priorities. As a result, we were able to come up with sustainable solutions that would help transition the unhoused to self-sufficient individuals through skill, training, and employment empowerment programs developed for sheltered residents The demand on shelter is high, but the resources are almost unavailable. We all desire to live in a better world and create a better community for our children to thrive, and it starts with a little impact donation. Point-in-time (PIT) counts indicate the state of homelessness in the US. Because of the pandemic and its ongoing economic effects, the state of homelessness in our country continues to worsen. In Massachusetts, rates of homelessness are up this year by 2.5%. In the entire country, 582,462 people were experiencing homelessness on a single night in January. Socks might seem like a small, everyday item that many of us overlook. Yet for individuals experiencing homelessness and children in need, a clean pair of socks can be a rare luxury. You may wonder -- why are we talking about socks and not about our fluid handling solutions? Because at the heart of our operations is a deep commitment to community—and one of our fundamental company values. In fact, one of our sales managers, Jared, talked with Wichtia's Footprints ICT and implemented a sock drive with our sales team! We hope to donate 500 pairs of socks to those in need. Why are socks important?
