Yesterday, I went to a movie #article370 One part caught my attention. They listed all that could go wrong! But, why? In the movie, the security forces were working on a super sensitive project. Where a lot of lives were at stake. It could have caused a riot at best, and a war at worst. So, how did they planned? They brainstormed together to made a list of everything... THAT COULD GO WRONG! (as you can see the sticky notes behind Yami Gautam) And, made a plan of how to handle them. Guess what? A few things did go wrong. But, they were already prepared to tackle them. It is a lesson to be learned. Whenever you make a plan (or just about try to anything), there will be a few things that might not go as planned. The sooner you can predict them, the sooner you can prevent it from going south (going wrong). Want a fancy name to remember this? There is already- Murphy's Law. Next time you want to do something big or different, like finishing a long task, creating a product, or starting a company. I can always tell when an attorney is full of it. It’s the: - Personal attacks - Lack of responsiveness - Desire to fight every point - No knowledge of the facts - Reasonableness in position - Reliance on years of experience This playbook isn’t new. It’s tired. And early identification of these tactics with a corresponding strategy is the best value-add you can offer a client. Otherwise, you’ll expend a disproportionate amount of energy and time relative to the value of the matter.
