Aviation and Space Operations ▪️ Electronic Warfare ▪️ National Defense and Space Policy ▪️ Security and Emergency Management ▪️ Decorated Combat Veteran
I need help with either reposting or providing ideas on supporting a cause that I am not directly affiliated with, but sits in the heart of my Venn Diagram of Veteran support, motorsports, and lifting up others. As a die-hard McLaren F1 fan, I started following other racing series last year, including McLaren's Trophy series and the British GT Championship. That's where Team BRIT caught my attention as the only team racing disabled drivers (using innovative adaptive controls). The team was created to help injured veterans find their passion, and I loved seeing them on the Podium, effectively competing with fully able-bodied drivers. Team BRIT hopes to come to the USA and is working with U.S. disabled veteran non-profit Resilience Racing. Though not affiliated with these organizations, I see so much good in this and hope the team can race here in the USA. I live near Daytona and Sebring and would love nothing more than to see British and American disabled vets taking on other teams in famous endurance races. Having flown alongside British aviators, to me this cooperation feels entirely natural and even necessary! There must be some U.S. companies that would want their brand associated with something so amazing. In addition to strengthening a sponsor's "Veteran Friendly" profile, this would capture national media interest because this story is so compelling, given both the growing interest in racing (thanks Netflix "Drive to Survive") and the inspiring stories of injured veterans and athletes competing at high levels. Please share this with anyone you think might be able to help (Jay Miseli and Charlene Miseli any suggestions in your area?). https://lnkd.in/eyiyU9VZ #veterans #disabledveterans #disabledcommunity #inspiration #motorsport #racing #teambrit #resilience #veteranfriendly

The good news for Martin Truex Jr. is that he will start fifth in Saturday’s Bass Pro Shops Night Race at Bristol Motor Speedway and Dragway. The concerning news is that if there's an error or a crash, Truex may not advance to the Round of 12 of the NASCAR Playoffs. CBD expert; Helping you reduce your anxiety & stress, improve your sleep, control your pain and thrive.
On Sunday i took 3rd place in Spartan U.K. Beast. 23km with 34 obstacles. The course was fast and included technical trial running and lots of mud. The lineup was packed with racers from all over Europe. 🤕I was nursing shoulder and knee injury and knew my mindset would have to help. Racing has provided me many life lessons which I apply both on and off course. Here are my top 6 🔍 Watch competitors, but avoid obsession. 📈Consistent effort yields results. 🤝 Respect everyone around you. 🏆When you want to quit, victory is near. 🎉 Identify true supporters and critics. 👏 Cherish your invaluable pit crew. (Thank you Philip Kehoe ) What do you do when it gets tough? #RunningAndBusiness #running #MindsetMatters

Samantha on Instagram: "Part 2… Williams Martini Racing 2016 My first year as a full time race team crew member. This year I would catch the travelling bug and fulfil my dream. I would take things one step further and become part of the pitstop crew too, as Front Wing Flap Adjust. I would get to share my aero background and learn a lot about working at the tracks and travelling with the F1 Circus
