She enjoys exploring different solutions, fostering creativity and adapting to the changing needs of partners. Outside of Channel, Sharma believes that the industry is currently challenged with the integration of technology in a way that enhances business and relationships. She believes technology integration should be strategically implemented to alleviate friction points without eliminating the opportunity for innovative solutions. Sharma would also like the industry to establish a larger presence in higher education to attract new talent as well as increase the knowledge and skillsets of existing industry members. She suggests methods to increase awareness of opportunities, such as integrating the subject into college curricula through specialized courses, offering a leasing track for finance or business degrees and promoting leasing through industry-specific career fairs. Sharma advocates for offering continued education opportunities, scholarships and certifications beyond the Certified Lease & Finance Professional (CLFP) designation. She has witnessed young professionals with an appetite for learning when they enter the workforce and believes that harnessing that enthusiasm will inevitably ensure a flourishing future for equipment finance.
