We’re thrilled to introduce the latest addition to our executive team at The Rounds. Our leadership philosophy is centered around finding hands-on innovators who can lead with vision and execution. Bret embodies that perfectly, bringing a deep commitment to both efficiency and sustainability. With over 20 years of operational leadership experience in grocery, Bret Celmer joins us from FreshDirect, where he served in several leadership roles. During his tenure across multiple phases of company building, Bret led multiple transformative initiatives, such as deployment of ML-based demand planning and automated procurement systems. His experience and passion streamlining logistics and implementing cutting-edge systems will be key as we scale our operations. Bret’s leadership will help us provide even more Members with effortless management of everyday essentials while minimizing their waste at home. Fun fact: Bret is an avid skier! 🎿 Whether he’s carving the slopes or navigating operational challenges, he’s always looking for the right balance between speed and precision.

We’re excited to welcome Katie Andrew as our Head of Merchandising Operations! With over 10 years of experience in the food space, Katie brings a wealth of analytical merchandising experience and passion to The Rounds. She has held leadership roles at a variety of companies, including New Stand, Union Square Hospitality Group, and Blue Apron, where she managed everything from grocery categories to supply chain operations across meal kits, produce and CPG. Katie will be focused on ensuring our Members have the perfect assortment of essentials, expanding into exciting new categories, and adding a touch of surprise and delight to every refill—because Katie is a delight!

We could not be more excited to welcome our newest exec to The Rounds. When it comes to executive leadership we look for player-coaches that will help pull our company into the future. Lauren will do just that with an obsession for our Members. Lauren O. brings over 20 years of marketing leadership to our team and is a true company builder, having served as the first marketing hire at three prior companies, with her most being the Senior VP of Marketing at Kaiyo. Her data-driven approach and extensive experience in growth marketing will drive our acquisition efforts to new heights. Fun fact: Lauren is also a talented drummer! 🥁 Get ready for some serious rhythm in our marketing game!

We’ve strengthened our high-performing Operations team with exceptional new talent! We are excited to welcome Michael Kelsey and Grant Schaller to The Rounds as they help us build the hyper-efficient rails that deliver an amazing Member experience! 💪 Michael Kelsey - Head of Production and Fulfillment Michael previously served as VP of Operations in the prepared meal space. As a trained chef with years of experience leading teams and ensuring operational excellence, Michael will enhance our Production & Fulfillment operations. In his free time, he enjoys gardening and even landscaped his backyard for his wedding ceremony! Grant Schaller - Supply Chain Senior Manager We're excited to have Grant join us from his role as Director of Revenue Operations at a grocery tech startup. His entrepreneurial journey includes co-founding his own startup focused on personalized dining experiences. With an MBA from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth, Grant is set to elevate our Supply Chain operations with his unique blend of strategy and analytics.🌿

🌟 Last week, our teams from Philadelphia, Washington D.C. and Atlanta joined forces at our Brooklyn headquarters for a company-wide summit. Together, we aligned on plans to drive our business forward in exciting new ways while continuing to improve the experience for our Members to make managing everyday recurring essentials effortless, and more sustainable than the alternative. ♻️ To top it all off, we celebrated our Series B fundraise with The Rounds lighting up the Nasdaq Tower in the heart of Times Square! 🎉✨ This huge milestone wouldn't be possible without our dedicated team, and we're grateful to each of them for our bright future ahead. The Rounds announces a $24M Series B to accelerate improvements to our service, strategically focus growth on existing market profitability, and make big steps towards building the go-to platform for effortlessly managing your everyday essentials in a more sustainable way than the alternative. This new round of funding was led by Moderne Ventures, with additional new investors, including FJ Labs, and existing investors doubling down, like Construct Capital, Redpoint, First Round Capital and Red & Blue Ventures, and brings our total funding to date to $66M.
