This July, we are honored to partner with Jordan's Guardian Angels as our #CharityOfTheMonth! Jordan’s Guardian Angels is a large-scale research project driven to find answers about the rare genome syndrome known as Jordan’s Syndrome. Uniting families across the globe, Jordan’s Guardian Angels is able to fund and facilitate groundbreaking scientific research to resolve this rarity. Along with their partnerships with universities and medical centers, Jordan’s Guardian Angels aims to improve the quality of life for children and families impacted by Jordan’s Syndrome. 🔬Your donations enable us to support promising research, such as Dr. Arielle Elkrief's work, a medical oncologist, but also a scientist. “Research is hope! I want to be able to offer the best to those I care for, to find the answers we do not yet have the answers to, and long-term solutions to save more lives.” 🦋Thank you for donating today: https://loom.ly/T7gH3CY #CancerResearchSociety

Did you know? Known donation is replacing secrecy in third-party reproduction. Research shows more adults conceived through donation want to know their origins. Known Egg Donation fosters open communication between parents and donors, allowing for meetings or ongoing contact. #eggdonation #knowneggdonation #knowneggdonor #knowndonation #knownembryodonation #embryodonation #thirdpartyreproduction #dcp #donorconcievedpeople

Earlier this year my adoptive mum was diagnosed with Glioblastoma, an aggressive form of brain cancer. There were no prior warning signs until one day out of the blue she had a seizure. Fortunately mum was diagnosed quickly, she then went on to have surgery which removed most of the tumour followed by radiotherapy. It was an incredibly difficult time but mum showed such strength and determination, I’m so unbelievably proud of her. However there is no cure for my mum’s type of cancer, it will grown back - treatment is just to buy more time. Brain tumours are among the most complex and challenging diseases to treat. Sadly, the statistics surrounding brain tumours are alarming. Since my mum’s diagnosis I’ve learnt that; -brain tumours are the biggest cancer killer of children and adults under 40 - only 12% of adults survive for five years after diagnosis Despite the staggering impact of brain tumours, funding for research and development in this area remains disproportionately low. (Receiving only 3% of UK cancer reasearch funding.) I want to share this with my network to raise awareness of brain tumours and the lack of funding for research. Charities such as The Brain Tumour Charity and Brain Tumour support are doing great work to fill this gap but more needs to be done so that we can get more time with our loved ones 💕 #braintumourawareness #glioblastoma #cancerresearch
It’s time! One week. Twice the impact. Three ways we’re working for families affected by a brain tumour to have more time to make new memories together: ground-breaking research, life-changing support services and policy-shaping campaigns. For this week only, when you give through The Big Give your donations will be doubled at no extra cost to you. That means double the impact your money will have for those affected by a brain tumour diagnosis. Donate today and give families like Hayley’s, Namrata’s and Will’s the greatest gift this holiday season: the gift of time: https://bit.ly/40zjj7j #Doubleyourdonation #livinglongerandbetter #thegiftoftime #ChristmasChallenge
