We want to introduce someone to you who knows all about resilience. You can read more about Traci’s amazing work in our recent case study, however today we want to highlight LaCheryl Coleman as the real hero of this case study. In 2019, LaCheryl became the leader of Legacy Early College, a school that was 3 points away from being an “F-rated” school. 💔 Instead of giving up, LaCheryl did her homework.📝 She called Traci and expressed her desire to invest in cultural repair and in understanding her faculty better. Together, Traci and LaCheryl decided that CliftonStrengths might be a good addition to address the needs of the LEC team and have grown available resources for the LEC team year after year. 🎉 This year will be the sixth year Traci will work with the LEC teams. Legacy Early College recently celebrated being just ONE point shy of an A-rating. 🎉 While LaCheryl commented on Traci’s gift for making the content fresh and relevant for her staff year after year, we want to comment on LaCheryl’s ability to… ➡️ Recognize a problem ➡️ Seek out a solution ➡️ Stick with growth over complacency ➡️ Not. Give. Up. With LaCheryl’s initiative, she turned a failing school into a success through workshops & collaboration — effectively changing lives and futures. In pictures, the world now sees a group of underserved kids with real potential. We see a picture of a leader that has made — and is making — a real difference. 💪 LaCheryl is the epitome of RESILIENCE and we applaud her today. 👏 #ResilientLeadership #StrongHumanCapital #HumanPotentialAdvisors #LeadershipDevelopment

The Best Graduation Speech of 2024 Is Absolutely Obvious, and It All Comes Down to Just 1 Word. A rainy day and an abbreviated speech, but some very useful lessons were shared. Robert Hale Jr.'s address to the graduates of the University of Massachusetts at Dartmouth was truly memorable. He gave $1,000 in cash to each graduate, with $500 for them to keep and $500 to give away to someone in need. Certainly, giving money to graduates is a sure way to win hearts. However, the speech was more than just a generous gesture. From humble beginnings of washing dishes to becoming a dot-com billionaire, Hale shared his journey of success, failure, and redemption. It's a powerful story of resilience and giving back to the community. Watch the video at the bottom of the article to witness Hale's inspiring message unfold. It's a reminder that success is not just about personal achievements but also about lifting others up. Kudos to Robert Hale Jr. for an impactful and memorable graduation speech. https://lnkd.in/ezuMgb_N (skip video to 2:25)

What does it mean to be a land-grant university in the 21st century? USU’s new President Cantwell reflects on this question below. Her framework and definitions are exciting: USU will remain committed to accessible, world-class teaching and research as we have done since the 1880s. But we also will drive important innovations, connecting and building with our communities on many of humanity’s greatest challenges. A great time to be an Aggie. https://lnkd.in/gxJ6TFab
