Our vision at The Hyve has always been that "Everyone in life sciences works together towards better health." 🌎 Back in 2018, we embarked on a mission to bring this vision to life by creating Fairspace, our open-source research data management platform. Since then, so much has changed, but one thing has remained constant: our commitment to meeting your needs and expectations.
The Fairspace team has been busier than ever recently, and we’re excited to share some of the new developments:
✨New, Fresh and Modern UI: We’ve redesigned the interface to keep the essential elements of the tool while providing a fresh, modern look.
🔍 Multi-Modal Domain Search: With a single interface, users can now search metadata from the homepage across different types of biomedical domains—such as genomics, clinical trial data, and images—despite having different data models, terminologies, and standards. This allows researchers to seamlessly navigate between different data domains.
🤖 Ask AI: We’ve added an LLM component based on Retrieval Augmented Generation, trained on various types of unstructured data. This feature creates a whole new experience of interacting with data findability within the tool.

The enhanced Kaplan-Meier plots are now available with cBioPortal's Release v5.4.6, offering standardized KM plots for publications and reports, reducing manual figure manipulation, and driving data transcription accuracy.
