Hi, I'm Mike Williams, the Growth Coach in Northern Virginia, and welcome to Thursday Talk. Today I'm here with Barbara Provost of Purse Strings. Barbara, tell us a little bit about your business. My business is Purse strings which I founded because I could see through my experience as a financial consultant across the industry for 20 plus years that women were not being served by the financial industry. They were very overlooked market. So besides talking to hundreds of women through focus groups and one-on-one and doing my deep research we created purse strings which is similar to like angies list. So you know when you need a painter someone to help you with your. Like where you go to that directory, right? Same thing. Our list houses financial professionals who focus on serving a female market. So when women are in a place where they have to make a financial decision, maybe they're going through a divorce, suddenly widowed, planning for retirement, paying down debt. Wherever they're at, they can come to purse strings. We have tons of free financial education on our side, and then they can look through our directory of purse strings approved professionals. And right through our site click out and make an appointment with anyone or two or three of them and higher financial professional in that way. So I think you laid out who your primary clients are with, with women and in different industries. How do you best support those clients, What are some of the services? OK, yeah, so for the women, our services are free. For women, so they can come to our website and download courses that we have tons of worksheet like Where's My Money Going? Or Divorce prep checklist or Family Emergency guide. We want women to be prepared for any financial concern that may come their way. We want to get in front of it. We want to start talking about money, learning about money. So all these resources are free and we really encourage. Women to start working with financial professionals on our site. We have financial planners, advisors, but we also have Realtors, CPA's, attorneys. Anyone who touches a financial transaction, they can access right through our site. So if somebody's out there looking at this and they think they might need your services, what should they consider? Any tips? Well, they should go to pursestrings.co right on there. We easily navigate them towards the type of financial professional they may need and they can peruse the site. But we also have life and money guides on there and other blogs and resources that they can peruse and take a look at as well.
