Linda Schwimmer’s blog https://lnkd.in/eKS62jQW is right on point: “Our existing disconnected systems of payment for physical health care, mental health care, and social services made the Camden Coalition model — and other holistic approaches — extremely challenging. In the podcast episode [a recent re-airing of the Tradeoffs episode "Better Care at Lower Cost - The Quest for Health Care's Holy Grail"], when discussing the results of the RCT and the Camden Coalition’s future, its CEO, Kathleen Noonan, remarks 'People like stories about success, and they like stories about failure. They love extremes.… This is a story about complexity and about courage.' Kathleen’s words connected with me. Changing systems and structures is difficult and complex work.” Here's a recent update: https://lnkd.in/eF5r3vfm. Look for more news on this subject soon.

I really enjoyed the discussion with Volker Ballueder and David Pawsey on Man Up / Man Down. Important to understand that if erectile dysfunction has a vascular cause, then it can be a predictor of heart attack or stroke in the next 3 to 5 years. It is also important to be aware that the health service is not as proactive in reaching out to men compared with women, meaning men are not as literate or comfortable navigating healthcare. Both are issues we are tackling head on at Numan. #menshealth #numan https://lnkd.in/eSKb-vvD

Stop sticking a plaster over it. ❌ The only way to truly fix the problem is to know what the root cause is and tackle that, the right way. ✅ Jessica Green, is an Integrative Health Practitioner and Health Coach who wants women to understand that regaining your health and vitality happens when you take a whole-person approach to get to the root cause of what’s going on. And, as Jessica explains, this is so far away from the approach that most medicine practitioners in our standard Western health care system take. It’s time to stop trying to find a quick fix to feeling better, and discover what is the underlying reason for how you’re feeling so you can manage it to truly fix the problem, rather than just treating the symptom. Sound like something you’d like to know more about? Check out the latest episode of Women’s Health Unwrapped on your favourite podcast platform. Search for episode 89 with guest expert Jessica Green.
