Communication is one of the biggest parts of doubles. In this drill, we focus in on not only the verbal communication but also reading the cues of our partner in the ability to cover the court space. Staggering is a great way to understand what each other's role is. The person in front is the one that will take the crossing of the ball and the one who is behind is the one responsible for the lob. In this way, the person at the back can see what the person at the front is doing and respond to their movements, because when you're lateral to someone it's very hard to see what they're doing. #tenniscoaching #tenniscoach #tennispro #tennis

The most basic fundamental that the top players have is the ability to always hit the ball in the ideal ‘Impact Zone’. They position themselves perfectly to be able to have options with their shots. To be able to get into position there are 3 key elements: 1. Eyes - perception/anticipation is the key to knowing where the ball is going. 2. Feet - the first step and movement needs to be sharp. 3. Impact Zone - Get your feet to adjust you into the perfect impact zone so you can do damage with your shot. #TennisCoach #tennisplayer #tennis #tennispro #TennisCoaching

In this video we are working on ground force reaction 💪 Here's some drills to work on how to use the legs through your shots more effectively. Using the legs triggers the kinetic chain, and when timed correctly, the kinetic chain will increase the amount of power and precision on your ball 🙌 #tennis #TennisCoach #tenniscoaching #tennispro #tennisplayer

One of the most important things is to get your heart rate up and be mentally and physically prepared to start fast. If your warm up is slow, you're going to react and respond slowly when you get on the court. It's so important that we bring high intensity to our warm up. Do these drills just prior to going on court to make sure you are ready to explode once your match starts 💥 #tennis #TennisCoach #tennisplayer #tennispro #tennislife

Practice high backhand slices. I rarely use this shot because I prefer to hit my two-handed backhand when the ball is higher. However, I do think that this stroke can be valuable, and it’s always good to build a full repertoire. Players should maintain a safety margin away from the side lines thus encouraging deep, aggressive play through the length of the court. Our belief is that the distance is determined by the skill level of the athlete. Lower tiered players might use approx 1.5 meter margins, mid tiered players approx 1m and pro athletes approx. 0.5m but also it is situational and could vary depending on the incoming ball and the court position of the player when they hit it. #tenniscoach #tennis #tennisplayer #tenniscourt #tennispro
