Here you can see we have two garages going at the same time. Pro tip: We start on one wall of every room we are in in order to “take control” of the area. This gives us a place to put all of the things that are being kept, donated, and trash. A minor adjustment can sometimes make a huge difference, especially when it comes to inclusivity and safety! When we developed our AGD Radix Tactile Indicators to assist the visually impaired at pedestrian crossings, we realised our original textured cone design wasn't necessary suitable for everyone. Working with experts from local authorities and social care charities, we learnt that some people may have benefitted from an alternative tactile cone shape. Cone B, as it's known, was developed with a different shape and feel, making more of an impression on people's fingertips when it rotates - helping those with a loss of sensation in their fingertips to recognise when it's safe to cross the road. Today, over 15,000 tactiles have been produced and tested by our skilled operatives in Cheltenham as we continue to champion inclusive mobility at road crossings. The idea for Dress for Dignity came to me much like the idea for Share the Dignity’s #ItsintheBag campaign – cleaning out my cupboards. When cleaning out my bathroom cabinets of unused and unopened products I had the idea to pop them in a handbag to donate, this was how the much loved #ItsintheBag Christmas appeal was born. Unfortunately, the demand for the bags from Share the Dignity charity partners only grows every year leaving a gap of around 50,000 bags per year. It truly breaks our heart to not be able to fulfil every single request. Similarly, while going through my closet and removing clothes i had never worn i thought “what if I could help fill the gap of #ItsintheBag by selling my dresses” And with that Dress for Dignity was born.
