It's the end of another academic session, invariably a time for honest stock taking of decisions made regarding our wards(for parents) and our learners( for teachers). Whatever the outcome of our analysis, life will have to go on! But, let's plan to set off with the right foot forward. One of the ways to do so is by attending the "UNLOCK THE READER IN YOUR CHILD" seminar on the 10th of August 2024. Let's learn how to assist our wards as parents and our learners as teachers. College Admissions for Neurodivergent Students 👩🏾🎓👨🎓| Clinical Psychologist | Writer ✍️ | Keynote Speaker 🎤
😃 It's exciting to see an increasing number of learning support programs for #neurodivergent students attending college. Of course, the exact type and amount of support needed can vary quite a bit between students, and the services offered in support programs varies as well. It was a pleasure chatting with James Maroney on these and related topics! We hope you enjoy the video. #neurodiversity #autism #ADHD #dyslexia #DisabilitySupport #AutismSupport #CollegeAdmissions
I recently interviewed Eric Endlich, Ph.D., Founder of Top College Consultants, for my website, http://CollegeTreasure.com. In this excerpt Eric talks about evaluating the quality of support programs for students with learning differences. He has actually created a directory of colleges with additional supports for students with learning differences at https://lnkd.in/e6VhNF7Y.

Structured Literacy for the win…again! We love celebrating when struggling students become confident, independent readers. Meet Mia, a struggling reader who fell behind during the pandemic. By 3rd grade, her reading scores were in the single digits. After 15 months of WRS instruction, Mia has rejoined the regular ELA class, reading at grade level and keeping up with her peers! Three cheers for Mia and her amazing reading specialist! Read more about Mia’s journey and discover other success stories: https://lnkd.in/e2SrN6MW #LiteracyForAll #StructuredLiteracy #ScienceOfReading
