Our incredible Weber team has looked into the culture crystal ball for a look at 2024
📈 Five trends to know
1️⃣ New Generation Unlocked: Gen Alpha
Gen A is expected to be unlike Gen Z, moving away from being chronically online to a more fragmented use of social. However, gamer mindsets dominate, making a key medium for marketers.
2️⃣ Bad influence
Influencers are receiving a lot of bad press so may represent a risk to brands, leading some brands to move away from smaller partnerships and back towards macro-influencers.
3️⃣ Panopticontent
Younger generations are increasingly skeptical of a life shared on social media, as they turn to more outdated forms of technology like “dumbphones” and “iPods”. Will we see future generations reclaim their anonymity?
4️⃣ Return to simplicity
As we manage a loneliness epidemic, brands that will win will actively play a role in improving the lives of customers, facilitating true connection for people.
5️⃣ Let’s get political
Digital activism will increasingly be used as a way to provide voices for those who feel unsafe or unable to attend in-person demonstrations. Think: Gen Alpha creating rallies on gaming platforms like Roblox
