'So, is there something in our collective responsibility towards men’s mental health, rather than this being solely a male issue, both from early on and now, in how we shape up around this theme? Accountability for how women really feel and respond to men’s feelings? What impact does that have on the outcome, fully acknowledging that it is a dance and it doesn’t work as well if only one of you is moving?' This June at Self Space, we chatted about men's health. As we're wrapping up the month, Jodie (our founder) dropped another 'Founder Behind The Scenes' piece about breaking the stigma around men's mental health. It's the one you want to read: https://lnkd.in/esf_wC2C #MensMentalHealth #FounderBehindTheScenes
I love this 🙌🏼 thanks for sharing! Totally agree, making cultural change is always rooted in collective responsibility. It’s the first rebellious move against a system that seeks to divide us so much. We’re all interconnected and women must be included in the conversation and participate the plight to support men’s mental health, just like men must be included in the movement for women’s equality (because at the root of it all, they’re the same issue)!

I love this perspective - lets just bloody talk about things and get it out there
Love the advice for younger males in our lives. 💕
This is wonderful Jodie, and such an important conversation to have. How can we collectively grow and support each other? This is where the real healing happens ❤️
Wow! Love this! "We all just want to be seen, heard and validated. Start from a place of sameness"
Love this post! Thanks for sharing 😊

3wThis is wonderful, thank you Jodie Cariss, very well put - AND I (we at Men's Circle) would love to support you brining that 12% proportion of men up! All our experience and research shows it's not to do so much with the inner-mindset of men; it's about creating a space that works for them; aka; men 'work' better in groups/ circles ⭕ And they need more guidance, format, and structure; because they generally don't have the emotional literacy like most women do.
