Wearing my Coffee With Ella hat today 👒 because there’s less than a week left on my discounted intro offer, CLARITY. What have I learned? That once you have your WHAT, the HOW falls into place. Because once you’re crystal clear on what you’re trying to achieve, you start to take action that generates unexpected outcomes. Outcomes you would never have thought of or considered because they were beyond what you could have imagined at the time. So I’m elated that I only have 1 intro spot left because of unexpected opportunities, ideal clients and a very clear WHAT, which has meant the HOW has fallen into place. To snap up that last spot or send to a friend, read more about CLARITY here: https://lnkd.in/eY_D4agG ------------------- 👩💻 I’m an accredited Career & Life Design Coach ☕️ I help you discover a career that lights you up to create a life you love 💌 Subscribe to my Newsletter: https://lnkd.in/eY-7uWeH

Dear #TransitioningTeachers - you have been back to school for a month; do you need a break ALREADY? That is not normal for other roles... No, you are NOT crazy, what you are experiencing is not normal. I cannot name another job where a few weeks into your school year, you want to quit. You have very valid and real emotions, and #Educators are CONSTANTLY made to feel like they have a DEBT to pay to society. A normal job does not require you to take breaks, and when you do need a break - you are not supposed to work over them. PTO is supposed to be time for you, not time to catch up on tasks you were given during your work hours. This is your Friday Reminder that YOU wanting a new career is NOT: 🚨 Unfair to others 🚨 Your Fault 🚨 Wrong 🚨 Selfish 🚨 Mean 🚨 Rude Additionally, if you do end up getting to leave in the middle of the year, NO; it is not YOUR RESPONSIBILITY to prepare the next educators' materials for them. That is a school problem, not a YOU problem. A common saying is "People do not get into teaching to be rich"... but you also do not get into teaching to be physically, mentally, emotionally, and systematically ABSUED. I love the impact education had on others when I taught, but I did not love everything else that came with it. If you are a #TransitioningTeacher and want a role in: ✅ #CustomerSuccessManager ✅ #LearningAndDevelopment ✅ #CurriculumDevelopment ✅ #ProductManagement ✅ #ProjectManagement ✅ #InstructionalDesign ✅ #DataAnaylsus ✅ #UXUIDesign ✅ #Recruiter ✅ #Training Check out the FREE links below to get ahead and get a new role today! __________________ Make sure to: 👍 React, ✏️ Comment, and 📣 Share this post 📚 FREE eBook on my transition journey, over 200 pages of original content: https://lnkd.in/ghQ3uxT4 ✎ FREE Resume Review Upload Form: https://lnkd.in/gREk7u9B

📖So you've graduated SPI. Now what?📚 As a former student at a Publishing Summer Program run by a top notch university, the day I graduated felt like the big win. 🎓 I had met so many friends and learned so much. I was ready to take on the industry and apply to every job out there. But when I got home, I was disheartened to remember that my home state doesn't have any big publishing offices. I was in energy deficit, with no new streets to explore, no new projects to work on, and still working my part-time job. ❌🙅🏻♀️🌃 But I wasn't alone. My cohort was also traveling cross country, sometimes internationally, to stare at the same list of job portal sites as I was. I deeply encourage all graduates to cling to each other. You have already found the room full of people who share your love of books and want to achieve similar things as you. They are your first network, a peerage of bookworms. 📚🐛 Connect with each other, share contacts and tips, continue to learn together. Expand your horizons; seek new networks and new people to talk with. Don't be shy about finding your alumni and learning from them. Apply for the impossible jobs, because you never know where they can take you. And don't forget about the incredible things happening right in your backyard. It might feel like the end of your time in NYC was the end of an era, but trust me, it's just beginning. 🌇🏡 What's to stop you from running the world one day? #nyu #spi #bookjobs #graduates #bookjourney #graduation #bookpublishing #publishing

“Your workbook really needs to be shared around a lot more, it’s very helpful!” This is what a new grad OT said to me after she discovered and used my workbook: “Choosing the RIGHT job for me!” So here I am, following her advice. You may be an OT student preparing to accept your first job offer, or a new grad who’s a few months into you first role but now finding out it’s not the job for you. The tricky thing at the moment isn’t finding a job as an OT, it’s finding the RIGHT job. If you jump at the first offer without really considering a range of factors, you could be setting yourself up for a hard road ahead. But the whole process is a lot to get your head around. How do you know what type of caseload you’ll like? Should you prioritise support, the team culture, or salary? How do you know if the employer will follow through with all the promises they make when they’re trying to sign you up? And what do you do if a few months in you regret your decision? This workbook takes you through the decision-making process in a step-by-step reflective manner, to help you really consider all your options and answer these questions. The best part? It’s free of course! You can jump on the Your OT Tutor website to download a copy now, or you can even sign-up to access a webinar recording where I talk you through it step by step. The links you need are in the comments. Wishing you all the best with your job search! #OccupationalTherapy #JobSearch #NDIS #YourOTTutor
