“A lot of times we hear people say, 'I lost this person here and I couldn't advance them to the next step. What's the hack to it? What can I do from here?' And we'll always have a recommendation or two, but the most effective reminder is that the foundation wasn't laid in the initial first two conversations and the 'loss' is really just a symptom of an earlier issue. If we really want to address it, the cause lies in how the initial Discovery Call and the Advanced Consult were handled.” Full clip: https://lnkd.in/gJCGdpXh #recruiting #recruiter #consulting #marketing #mortgage #branchmanager #arroyoandco #convert #converttalent #boulder #colorado

Have you ever heard “put some deposits in before you make some withdrawals”? When we hire someone, why do we immediately expect them to “ fall in line” and get the job done? Just because they came to work for you doesn’t mean they believe as you do in your company. I came to my work for a job and after almost 27 years later, it became a career. Did it have ups and downs? It sure did! Did I ever want to quit? You betcha! But you know what? Someone sold me into the belief of the company and what they stood for. I still believe in our Mission, Vision, and Values! I do my best to live it and I know in the auto industry, it’s not always believable that our values start with Integrity and then adds Respect, Compassion and Excellence. I was working with the company when they came up with the M/V/V of the company. We were already living them but we put it down on paper! I believe them and strive to live them. So today, I challenge you to look at your own company’s M/V/V and convince the new hires that is what you believe and are trying to achieve not only by your words but by your actions as well!!
