Are you looking for a way to nurture and grow your relationship with God? Morning devotions are a great way to spend daily time with the Lord, but it can be valuable to go beyond this daily routine and spend extended time alone with God in prayer. 🙏 We are called into a relationship with God, and this fellowship is nurtured by spending time with Him. Spending extended time alone with God can seem daunting, but here are some tips to get started: ⏰ Schedule your time. 📖 Take essential items, like a Bible, paper and pen with you. 💤 Stay awake and alert by getting adequate rest the night before. 📝 Take notes during this time to give yourself a record of what the Lord is speaking to you. Former Navigators President, Lorne Sanny, shared what the outcome of spending this time with the Lord should look like: “The result of your day in prayer should be answers to the two questions Paul asked the Lord on the Damascus road (Acts 22:6-10). Paul’s first question was, ‘Who are you, Lord?’ The Lord replied, ‘I am Jesus.’ You will be seeking to know Him, to find out who He is. The second question Paul asked was, ‘What shall I do, Lord?’ the Lord answered him specifically. This should be answered or reconfirmed for you in that part of the day when you unhurriedly seek His will for you." We do not pray only because we have faith; we pray because prayer helps strengthen our faith. We pray not only when our prayers are answered but even when we feel that our prayers seemingly go unanswered. The outcome of prayer isn’t always an answer; rather, it is being in God’s presence and experiencing God’s favor, voice and love in new and significant ways. Unified Manna - C H O F Ministry "Faith: More Than Belief, a Lens to Reimagine" “A Minister’s Calling” Romans 14:4 (CSB) - 4 Who are you to judge another’s household servant? Before his own Lord he stands or falls. And he will stand, because the Lord is able to make him stand. "Beloved, let us remember that the discernment of a minister's calling “is not” ours to judge. We are not the overseers of their spiritual journey, nor the ones who summoned them to their divine purpose. If their unique mission does not resonate with our beliefs, it’s our responsibility to respectfully part ways, recognizing that our role is not to act as deputies in God's divine selection." 1 Corinthians 12:4-6 (CSB) - 4 Now there are different gifts, but the same Spirit. 5 There are different ministries, but the same Lord. 6 And there are different activities, but the same God works all of them in each person. Have a Blessed Tuesday, Everyone. ✝️ 🕊️ 💙 😊 “Igniting Faith, Elevating Wisdom, Transforming Lives” #CHOFMinistry #InspiritWord #MinistersCalling #DivinePurpose #RespectTheCalling #Romans14 #SpiritualJourney #GodsPlan

What does it mean to ask, seek, and knock with faith? In Matthew 7:7, we are encouraged to persistently seek and trust God to provide for our needs. This powerful message reminds us that when we pray with faith and perseverance, we will receive what we ask for. How can we apply this lesson in our daily lives? When faced with challenges or uncertainty, we are called to trust in God's faithfulness and continue to seek His guidance. By approaching God with a sincere heart and unwavering belief, we demonstrate our trust in His infinite power and love for us. Through prayer and faith, we can overcome obstacles and experience His blessings in abundance. Let us embrace the transformative power of prayer and trust in God's promises. As we seek His wisdom and guidance, may we experience His peace that surpasses all understanding. #Faith #Prayer #TrustGod #SeekandKnock Reference: The Holy Bible: New International Version. (2011). One of the phrases we often hear to close in prayer is, “In Jesus’ name, amen.” There is nothing wrong in closing prayer with that phrase, but do we know what praying in Jesus’ name means? The misconception with some is to think any request that concludes with these words will automatically be fulfilled. But praying in Jesus’ name is not some spiritual guarantee for our wishes. It is true that Jesus promised to do whatever we ask in His name (John 14:14). But we cannot base our concept of prayer on this one verse without considering the context and other teachings on the subject throughout the Bible. This leads to confusion and disappointment when God does not answer as we expect. Praying in Jesus’ name simply means asking according to His will so that the Father will be glorified in the Son (v.13). Our requests must be consistent with Jesus’ desires and purposes, which are revealed to us in Scripture. Also, our motives should be to glorify God and not just simply to please ourselves. When you and I pray this way, we can confidently say, “In Jesus’s name,” and have faith that God will answer. #prayer #jesusname #hiswill #father #god #glorified #desires #purposes #reveal #scripture #motives #faith #trust #answer

Preaching to please who? It seems some preachers today preach to please men rather than God. They preach to appeal to the flesh rather than the truths from God’s Word. God will judge any of us who change His Word. (Rev. 22:18, 19) We need to rightly divide the Word. (2 Timothy 2:15) When we have a predetermined idea and go looking for verses to support our ideology we will twist Scripture to make it fit. The Scriptures are His Words, and we are in direct opposition to God when we try to change His Word to fit our ideologies. We must diligently study His Word and let the Holy Spirit guide us. (John 16:13) Let God’s Word change you. Don’t try to change His Word to fit you. “For our exhortation was not of deceit, nor of uncleanness, nor in guile: but as we were allowed of God to be put in trust with the gospel, even so we speak; not as pleasing men, but God, which trieth our hearts. For neither at any time used we flattering words, as ye know, nor a cloke of covetousness; God is witness: nor of men sought we glory, neither of you, nor yet of others, when we might have been burdensome, as the apostles of Christ.” 1 Thessalonians 2:3-6 KJV #Godsword #GodsWordisTruth #RightlyDividingTheWordOfTruth

THE ROAD MATTERS Psalms 37:23 (ESV) The steps of a man are established by the LORD, when he delights in his way. •One of the most noted verses in the Bible concerning divine direction is Psalms 37:23. •But there are a few enlightening things I want to point out about this verse. 1. The KJV says the steps of a “good” man are ordered. But the word “good” is an addition. It’s not in the original text. 2. The word “ordered” means to be established or to be made safe & successful. 3. We often overlook the last part of the verse which gives the condition of this promise. It says, “When He [GOD] delights in his way.” 4. When the Lord is pleased with the way (or the road) a person takes, He guarantees the success of the steps he takes along the way. 5. THE ROAD MATTERS. The path you’re on matters. Instead of asking for ordered steps, ask to be placed on the right road. 6. Ordered steps are automatic when you’re on the right path, doing the right thing. 7. PRAY: Lord, guide me to the right path for my life in this season. #Truth #IAMAWITNESS #WHATHESAID 👑💯#Godfidence #scandalousfaith #godmade #FAVOR #forgiven

Day 14 Extract from: The Purpose-Driven Life Author: #RickWarren When God seems distant, you may feel that he is angry with you or isdisciplining you for some sin. In fact, sin does disconnect us from intimate fellowship with God. We grieve God’s Spirit and quench our fellowship with him by disobedience, conflict with others, busyness, friendship with the world, and other sins. But often this feeling of abandonment or estrangement from God has nothing to do with sin. It is a test of faith—one we all must face: Will you continue to love, trust, obey, and worship God, even when you have no sense of his presence or visible evidence of his work in your life? The most common mistake Christians make in worship today is seeking an experience rather than seeking God. They look for a feeling, and if it happens, they conclude that they have worshiped. Wrong! In fact, God often removes our feelings so we won’t depend on them. Seeking a feeling, even the feeling of closeness to Christ, is not worship. When you are a baby Christian, God gives you a lot of confirming emotions and often answers the most immature, selfcentered prayers—so you’ll know he exists. But as you grow in faith, he will wean you of these dependencies. #modma #purposedrivenlife #readwithme

Anna the Prophetess Reflect Prophetesses are not often discussed in biblical discussions, however, St. Anna the Prophetess deserves some notice. She was a longtime widow who was prayerful, elderly, devoted to God, and recognized Christ when he was presented at the Temple! Many thought-provoking details are packed into a short passage! “[Anna the Prophetess] gave thanks to God and spoke about the child” (Lk 2:38). Pray St. Anna the Prophetess, Please pray for me, that I might bear life’s difficulties with trust. Pray that I might keep a steady devotion to God. Pray that I might recognize Christ in my life. Ask God that I might share his glory with others however I can. Amen. Act Consider reading St. Anna the Prophetess’ short story within the Presentation at the Temple narrative in the Bible (Lk 2:22, 36–38). You might want to read a handful of preceding verses to enrich an understanding of the setting. How might you connect to St. Anna’s story? How might you let her life create a bit of a shift in yours?
