I have seen a lot of articles on what makes a good leader. Did you know the bible points us to the greatest leader ever, Jesus Christ. Granted religious artwork often portrays Jesus as a baby, as an undernourished weakling, or as an ascetic who passively submits to whatever befalls him. These images do not inspire confidence in him as Ruler. The real Jesus Christ of the Bible, however, grew up to be a vigorous, well-developed man full of zeal and initiative. And he possessed other traits that qualified him for leadership. (Luke 2:52) That is why he is often regarded as a great leader, and his leadership skills are often studied and admired by people for various reasons, including his ability to inspire, teach, and bring about positive change. Here are a few aspects of Jesus' life and leadership that are often highlighted: Vision and Purpose: Jesus had a clear vision and purpose in life and leadership. His mission was centered around love, compassion, and the establishment of the Kingdom of God. He was appointed by his father who viewed him as a most capable and trustworthy leader(Psalm 2:6) Jesus is the King of God’s Kingdom, a government that rules from heaven.—Matthew 6:10. Jesus and his father clearly communicate this same vision and purpose throughout the bible. We show by how we live our lives that we accept his leadership and this same vision and purpose, and we do so because of our love, respect, trust, and confidence in him as a true leader! Empathy and Compassion: Jesus demonstrated deep empathy and compassion towards those he interacted with. He showed understanding and cared for the well-being of individuals, even those who were marginalized or considered outcasts. He gave comfort to the depressed. (Luke 7:11-15) He gave encouragement to his hardworking apostles. (John, chapters 13-17) He proved to be “the fine shepherd” who cared for his sheep.—John 10:11-14. These qualities win hearts! Effective Communication: Jesus, as Jehovah’s spokesman (John 1,2,14) was known for his powerful and effective communication skills. He used parables and simple language to convey profound messages, making his teachings accessible to a wide audience. He was never harsh nor demanding but communicated with love, understanding, patience, and took the time to listen. Leading by Example: Jesus led by example, living out the principles he taught. His actions were consistent with his words, earning him credibility and respect among his followers. Most important to practice what you preach. If you lead in this way others will follow. 1 Peter 2:21 says, “Christ suffered for you, leaving you a model for you to follow his steps closely.” Of course, we cannot follow his steps perfectly being imperfect and all. However, if we act on what we have learned through personal Bible study, doing our best to correct any flaws we may have, we can successfully follow the model that Jesus left for us. (Ps. 119:59).

👉 6 ways God’s grace transforms one’s life Empower your leadership https://lnkd.in/gQvPPMnF Even Christians can be caught up between the chasm of the fiery darts of the evil one (Ephesians 6:16). Jesus addresses his people in the gospel accounts and says, "Oh, you of little faith" (Matthew 8:26), not NO faith. Being a Christian today will bring forth more difficulties, being hated, and attacked from every direction of the world. Don't be surprised by that! Often those who live in Christ are followed along with great suffering and great pain. However, perhaps the question that we Christians are asking as we desire to see God's grace to transform the situation is this. How can we withstand the attacks of the enemy for such a time as this? How can we go forward with this as we are being sanctified in the image of Christ? #christianleaders #leadershipdevelopment #christianleadership #christianbusiness #management #leadershipfirst #businessleaders #churchleaders

Building Up, Not Tearing Down: Leadership Wisdom from 2 Corinthians 13:10 In a world inundated with an endless stream of information, knowledge, and so-called wisdom, it's easy to get lost in the sea of voices telling us how to think, act, and lead. Books on leadership, self-help guides, podcasts, and seminars offer a plethora of advice, yet one source stands out with God's Voice offering us timeless wisdom that transcends cultures, epochs, and circumstances: The Bible. The Bible is the infallible Word of God and not merely a collection of historical narratives, poetic musings, and prophetic utterances. It is a reservoir of divine wisdom, a guide for living a life that aligns with the principles of love, integrity, and righteousness that were taught by Jesus Christ. Among its rich tapestry of teachings, one verse in particular encapsulates a profound principle of leadership that, if embraced, can transform the way we lead in every sphere of life. 2 Corinthians 13:10, penned by the Apostle Paul, offers an extraordinary insight into the heart of godly leadership. Paul writes, "...in accordance with the authority which the Lord gave me for building up and not for tearing down." This simple yet profound statement reveals the core of what it means to lead according to God's design. #God #Jesus #Christ #HolySpirit #leadership #love #mercy #growth #guidance #servant #power #knowledge #wisdom #professional #Christian #linkedincommunity

Recently our weekly Bible study group has been going through the book, “Shine, A Vision for Life and Work that Impacts Eternity” written by the Chairman of Vermeer Southeast, Kris Denbesten. This book contains many principles on ways to run a Christ centered business, which is something Covenant Constructors and Covenant Concrete strives to live out. One of the principles discussed in this book is to shine with humility by putting others first. Philippians 2:3 states, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit, but in humility consider others better than yourselves”. Humility allows us to be the type of leaders God calls us to be. Jesus displayed the perfect example of humility by relinquishing His right to be served and instead chose to serve others through the strength of humility. While humility can be a tough quality to live out, by doing so we are humbling ourselves before God, and are therefore in a position to have our hearts changed by God’s strength, power, and humility.

So much of my business practices and leadership values come from my faith. I know I often reference scriptures and concepts from the Bible in my writings. I believe the Bible is the most inspiring book I have ever read. The teachings and direction I have found in the Bible have been relevant to all areas of my life- personally, relationally, physically, mentally, and of course spiritually. It contains wisdom for marriage, business, leadership, health, and much more! It is full of ways to live a successful and rewarding life that can lead to joy, peace, and wonderful relationships. It truly is a guide to a life well lived. Overall, it also provides clarity on what is eternal versus what is temporal, which creates a clear vision and perspective that is needed for all of us. I believe that a relationship with Jesus Christ leads to great fulfillment in life. That is why I draw so much of my daily inspiration and life lessons from His word! #Churchillleadership #faith #Bible #wisdom #Christianity #dailyinspiration #lifelessons

Comfortable Christianity. These are two words that should never go together. If you're doing Christianity right, it's supposed to be challenging, difficult, and way outside of your comfort zone. After all, Jesus instructed us to: - Sacrifice the flesh and resist all human temptations - Pick up our cross, leave everything behind, and follow Him - Boldly and unapologetically make disciples of all nations The last instruction above is aptly named The Great Commission. Whether you feel like it or not. Whether it's safe to do so or not. Whether you'll be persecuted for it or not. You must go into all the world and share the Good News. Because this can be challenging, each month, we share with the followers of the C-Suite For Christ ministry our Christ Communication Tip of the Month. For September, we want you to try a little word substitution. One of the worst words in the English language, when used as a verb, is H-O-P-E. Hope. For instance, someone might say: - I hope you have a good day today. - I hope you get that new job - I hope all gets better for you Hope, when used as a verb, signifies passivity. When you say this, it makes it sound as if you're powerless to do anything about it and everything is beyond your control. Well, as Christians, we don't hope for anything. Instead, we pray for everything. Try this moving forward: - I pray that you have a good day today - I pray that you get the new job - I pray that life starts to get better for you When people hear you use the word pray, they'll instantly know that you're a believer, which will make them feel safer in having a Christ-centric conversation with you. Today's Christ Communication Tip of the Month is made possible thanks to Bingo Emmons MCR, CR, CRPM, UDCP, Owner Creative Construction of WI and his amazing team over at Creative Construction of Wis, Inc. Will you join us today in praying, rather than hoping? Paul M. Neuberger #faith, #leadership, #culture, #management, #business

ETERNITY IN VIEW! A DISCIPLE is not above his TEACHER, but everyone who is perfectly trained will be like his teacher"- Lk.6:40. Everyone of us is a DISCIPLE of someone at different times in life beginning from PARENTS to SCHOOL TEACHERS, the PASTORS, and various MENTORS and MODELS in the society. What we learn or inherit from these individuals becomes part of our personality traits. These traits either MAKE or MAR us in life. What's your story about this? The bible quote above by JESUS provokes us to examine ourselves to discover WHO has MADE or MARED us. Whose PRODUCTS we are, and whose TRAITS or LIFE we are carrying. Largely, our SOCIETY is a PRODUCT of the LEADERS in authority. Bro. Gbile Akanni's submission warns us to mind WHOSE MILK we suck, for we can't be better than the person. Given this, many are just mere SHADOWS of their destinies! Eternity shall reveal whose identities we have become - deviation from our realities or Christ's? Drop and run from all inherited evils. Let CHRIST disciple you!
