Our recent ✨TEAM BUILDING EXPERIENCE✨with Hilton hotels management team was a success! This recap video celebrates their incredible dedication to Joy, human connection and positive POSITIVE WORKPLACE CULTURE as they supported each other through every step of the process. From the tutorial videos we made, to the in-person choreography lessons, we are thrilled with the COLLABORATIVE IMPACT this team bonding experience created as they celebrated their 40th anniversary in Salt Lake City! Thank you for TRUSTING us and our methodology of using movement to create this TEAM BONDING EXPERIENCE. —- 👩🔬THE SCIENCE BEHIND WHY THIS WORKS🧑🔬 During the process they were releasing this wonderful D.O.S.E of happiness, a brain cocktail explained below. ⚡️DOPAMINE - Purposefully working together towards achieving a unique goal ⚡️OCYTOCIN - United together as they move to the same beat, generating team cohesion ⚡️SERATONIN - Experiencing deep joy as they smile & laugh together on this shared multi-week journey ⚡️ENDORPHINS - Activated by physical movement. ___ 🐘 THE ELEPHANT IN THE ROOM 🐘 Yes, dancing can be incredibly vulnerable. “I’m not a dancer” a phrase used often in our society and by many companies we do this for. When I got into this industry, 25 years ago, never did I dream of working with the list & caliber of talents I did for most of the time at Hyatt Hotels Corporation, Mandarin Oriental Hotel Group , Firmdale Hotels PLC , Dorchester Collection and Langham Hospitality Group {hence I have a Pinterest Album to remind me some time}. The key to it was: to be personal, discreet, trustworthy, accommodating, authentic, make them feel safe and treat them with simple humanity, to always be three steps ahead {because always something else popped up that had higher priority than the previous priority}, to look after the entire crew and not just the talent {because it goes a very long way}, to be there more or less 24/7 and to be that one-stop-shop. It had a lot of benefits, and not only did I travel, got unforgettable rewards and invitations/experiences, learned a lot from the most demanding, creating complex project management situations, working for clients that needed to get the best out of me and the efficiency of and communication to my teams, but nevertheless it combined my hobby of music, film, tv and entertainment with my passion of hospitality & care but it also showed me a side of most of my clients that will stay with me forever. TOWNHALL Townhall used to be an important culture in early days, which seems to have lost somewhere in the new trend of hotels growing every now & then. Why Townhall is Important in the functionality of a HOTEL / RESORT??? ·        Ice breaker between team & Management ·        Realign everyone to company Vision & Mission ·        Award & Appreciation – retaining the award up till next Townhall is a desire & hunger among others to get the award ·        Motivation to perform better for next Townhall appreciation ·        Reflects on the culture of company and their values toward the Team. Townhall also used to be a platform every month, where team used to VOICE out their problems in search for a solution, but with everything becoming so democratic now a days in Hospitality Industry that this tradition has again seems to be LOST, as no accurate solution is provided resulting in Team not putting their Problems and mere become a mute spectator. I strongly believe that TOWNHALL should carried out every month in every hotel and not once in a quarter or once in a year, Let us all give something to the team who is working tirelessly and making every hotel a beautiful place to be in their own way.

My fellow GM's and Directors, Regional Managers and VP's. What does hospitality mean to you?? Is it to service our guest, have a nice hotel, clean rooms and amazing amenities??? I challenge you and say NONE OF THE ABOVE, it's YOUR staff the people that come in day after day, happy, energized and ready to make a difference. How do you do that to put them FIRST not your guest, your team is what brings guest back over and over again not YOU or what your hotel has, cause frankly guest can get a bed in over 3 million other hotels. ITS YOUR TEAM and how you treat them so they can be happy at work and in return are genuine when welcoming your guest. The below is a testimony to what I just said from another manager about a member of my TEAM not my EMPLOYEE but my TEAM member. I ask that you make a change and put your TEAM first.
