Yesterday was the big reveal of all the experiences coming to the Disney Treasure in 2025. The IP choices are interesting, I do like that the two ships are following the pattern of Magic/Wonder and Dream/Fantasy – true sisters with lots of similarities and slight differences. Some of the concepts sound cool – I can’t say no to anything Jungle Cruise. (I’m legally bound as part of being a former Skipper). However, since most of the feedback on the Wish has been about layout, function, and guest experience, that will be the real test for the Treasure. The IP mix will only take them so far if there aren’t other improvements made to the daily experience onboard. What do you think? Here is Walt Disney World's latest campaign - This Is Magic. I'll be taking a page out of Julian Cole's social media playbook and break down and share how I would have gotten to this creative: Target audience - Tourists and vacationers who want to experience something real. Consumer problem - Consumers typically won't travel to a theme park for authentic experiences because theme parks can be viewed as inauthentic or commercialized. Insight - While the word "magic" is often associated with fantasy and fiction, everyone has real experiences that can be described as real magic. Proposition - Show potential guests that a vacation at Walt Disney World fits in with their definition of "real magic". Consumer goal - To discover and experience their own definition of real magic. By taking all of these things, the strategy statement would be the following: Get tourists who want authenticity in their vacations to visit Walt Disney World by showing them that authentic, magical experiences happen there all the time.
