Did you know that 62% of employers consider certification the most important criterion when evaluating job candidates? Providing your current medical assistants, or staff members who move into or cross-train for a medical assistant role, access to an upskilling or re-skilling program can help increase their knowledge and enhance their skill sets. Another benefit of medical assistant training programs is not having the cost or time needed to hire new medical assistants, and improved retention of top talent. Healthcare organizations can even provide medical assistants access to programs designed to prepare them for certification tests. These programs can give employees a better understanding of the certification exam and what to expect. Check out our recent blog post to learn more about the impact of training programs and certifications for medical assistants: https://lnkd.in/eYYT9pSE. #MedicalAssistant #MedicalAssistantTraining #HealthcareWorkforce #Upskilling #CrossTraining #HealthcareTraining #EmployeeTraining #OnlineLearning #MedicalAssistantCertification

These questions come up often with those considering Going through the AIT process Is it worth the time and effort of going through AIT training and getting licensed if you aren’t sure you will want to become a Nursing Home Administrator (NHA) when you are done? If you don’t find a job as an Administrator, will there be enough value in the transferable skills and experience you will gain? What are the specific skills that one can gain from AIT training that are transferable to other industries? These skills might be utilized well in various healthcare roles, such as back-office billing, marketing, or Durable Medical Equipment (DME) sales, offering a competitive edge in this growing industry. Also, it pays to consider who will be your mentor, as a true mentor can teach you professional and life skills that can benefit you in any career path. Would you prefer to hire someone who has gone through this process versus someone who has only worked a basic desk job for the same amount of time? What other points would you make about these questions, especially those of you in the healthcare industry? #healthcare #humanresources #careeradvice

Private equity firms and Multi-site practices often face challenges retaining allied ophthalmic personnel, with shifts in salary, schedules, management, and culture commonly cited as reasons for technician resignations. The departure of a senior team member can trigger a chain reaction, leading to further resignations. Drawing from my two decades of experience in clinical management and recruitment work with private equity groups, I stress the importance of a robust training program, particularly in this context, where candidate availability is constrained for two main reasons. Firstly, private equity groups frequently consolidate practices within close proximity, resulting in internal competition for staff. Secondly, experienced technicians are often hesitant to apply for positions within private equity groups, a topic deserving of its own discussion. Staff shortages exacerbate the situation, placing additional strain on existing technicians who must handle increased patient loads while also training new hires. Consequently, the skills of new employees may only match those of their trainers, with little assurance of the quality of training provided. Many practice managers offer vague guidance to trainers, such as "Train the new tech," leaving room for inconsistency and uncertainty. At Clarity Staffing & Development, our focus is on enhancing clinical efficiency. We achieve this through the implementation of a tailored 90-day training program designed specifically for your practice. This program includes defined benchmarks to track each trainee's progress, monthly assessments conducted in collaboration with your management team, and a comprehensive evaluation at the end of the probationary period. Our approach fosters a culture of continuous education within the workplace, ensuring that your team remains skilled and adaptable. If you believe that our services could benefit your practice, please feel free to reach out to me via email at [email protected]. I'd be happy to discuss how Clarity Staffing & Development can support your needs.

Career Coach for medical & healthcare professionals | Alternative Careers for Doctors & Nurses | Medical Interviews | Medical CV Writing | Confidence Coaching | Bespoke Career Packages
So, I'm just trying to understand medical training pathways ... 🩺 I'm currently coaching a couple of junior doctors who are both interviewing for specialist training routes with a ratio of approximately 5:1 for both specialties in terms of those applying and places available across the UK. Both are exceptionally bright people and both are having to reapply. The competition is fierce on those ratios! Why don't the government open up more training positions? Wouldn't that stop this frustrating bottleneck that we have in the system of dedicated, young doctors willing to work ridiculously hard towards gaining a consultant post but getting blocked at this point? Of course, after a couple more times of reapplying to get a training post and having to locum or take on a staff grade post in the meantime, they're totally deflated by it all and many then look to leave medicine ... Also, whilst locum jobs are increasingly more competitive, it seems a hospital can bypass the pay gap if they want anyway and are then spending ridiculous amounts on locums who are then not always experts in their field or it's leaving a huge number of roles unfilled because UK doctors don't want to take up staff grade jobs ... This is all based on feedback from my clients explaining the system to me, it doesn't make sense at all to me. Surely the extra cost in opening up more training pathways is a long-term win in securing higher quality, committed doctors for the future of the NHS? 🤷♀️ But clearly, there's another agenda ... #medicalcareers #doctors #doctorsrecruitment
