A special Power to the Patients event in Washington, D.C. next month is set to feature a performance by Foo Fighters. The Dave Grohl-fronted band has teamed with Fat Joe and Chuck D to offer their support to the ongoing fight for healthcare price transparency in the U.S., an issue that impacts millions of people across the country on a daily basis. In a statement, the band pointed to the urgency of the issue as paramount in their swift decision to perform at the event. “When we were asked by Power to the Patients to help raise awareness of the need for transparency in healthcare pricing, we immediately said yes," the band said in a group statement. TennCare drops 104,722!! TN Healthcare Campaign TennCare continues to drastically slice the number of people receiving coverage in Tennessee. TennCare is requiring renewal documentation of all its enrollees. Renewal notices are sent in monthly batches. In the first 3 months, TennCare reports 313,840 customers were up for renewal. One in three (104,722) people were dropped from coverage, including nearly 25,000 children. Most (76%) were dropped for procedural reasons. For example, they may be eligible, but TennCare has the wrong address on file, so the renewal paperwork was not completed. More disenrollments are expected monthly.  THCC enrollment staff can help with renewals and appeals.
