Ok, so I don’t hug everyone…unless they want one. 😉 What?! I ‘m a hugger! 🤗 We have all been there. You bear your soul to your insurance-based primary care clinician and then you see them on the street and they act like they don’t recognize you. But guess what, it is because likely they don’t!! 😬 Traditional insurance based clinicians are responsible for 2500-3000 patients on their panel. So it is not personal, it is just the product of a bigger problem…the traditional insurance based healthcare system! When you see so many people, you just can’t remember them all! With a direct primary care practice, we keep our panel to a fraction of that so we can build personal and trusting relationships with our patients. I love seeing my patients out around town and so excited when I get to meet their family members. At Cool Creek Family Health, we cultivate quality relationships and dare I say, friendships with our patients! So if you see me around…just know, I am always good for a hug! 🤗 #directprimarycare #nursepractitioners #lifestylemedicine #healthcare #healthandwellness #healthcarebenefits

As a healthcare provider, I've witnessed firsthand the devastating impact of inadequate insurance coverage. It's heartbreaking and unacceptable that patients have lost their lives simply because they couldn't afford the care they needed. Healthcare is a fundamental human right, not a privilege. No one should have to choose between financial ruin and their health. We need systemic change to ensure everyone has access to quality healthcare, regardless of their financial situation. It's time for policies that prioritize people over profits, that guarantee healthcare as a basic right for all. Let's raise our voices, advocate for equitable healthcare reform, and stand in solidarity with those who have suffered due to lack of insurance. Together, we can create a future where no one has to fear losing their life because they couldn't afford medical treatment. #HealthcareForAll #EndInsuranceBarriers #HumanRights

Have you ever wondered why you seem to pay more for medical services at the start of the year? It's a surprisingly simple answer, that most of us don't think about when planning our care. Your deductible reset. Yes, your medical plan has a deductible, just like your car insurance. And - you might even have a separate deductible that applies just to pharmacy services. Make sure to review your plan details. Deductibles can apply to everything from hospital and emergency room visits to seeing specialists. Some plans don't have deductible for labs or x-rays unless you receive services in a hospital. You're a smart consumer in the rest of your life - be one when you access healthcare too. Some resources to look at for information: the plan's benefit summary; the summary of benefits and coverage form for your plan; or your company's benefit guide. Follow me for more info on using your health plans. #employeebenefits #benefitseducation #accessiblehealthcare #equitablehealthcare #employeebenefitsbroker

I protect people, paychecks, families and futures, by specializing in Long Term Care Solutions & Disability Insurance
In 2021, the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services released a study stating that 56.2% of people over the age of 65 will need care at the level which would trigger benefits in a tax-qualified long term care insurance policy. If you end up in that 56.2%, what will your care needs mean for your family? Your spouse, or children? Your family will be involved in your care, but what will that look like for them? Will they be doing the unpleasant, physically and emotionally exhausting work of providing the care, or will they be writing substantial monthly checks to professional caregivers? A better way to ask this question: Will they be paying for your care with their health, or with their money? So... what's your #planforlongtermcare?
