As the creator of this curriculum, & alongside the Internship Faculty, I'm thrilled to see it come to fruition & excited to be a guide in these students' journeys as they become the heroes in their own stories. It's been a fun start to the semester, & I can't wait to see where their stories take them. How many of you think this is funny? Is it really the truth? people who start as interns are considered to be working harder than the people already experienced in the field? Lets just take a look into this severe case where i've met friends and colleagues! Positioned at an Intern level, but working at an executive level! Well its good to be working at such pace and at this initial years of earning some small bucks. Dont consider any opportunity as lesser. We make our own path, to our own bright future! That I guess we all thought of in our 8th-10th grade?😅 Well even working now at a payroll of a good valued company! Still makes me feel i'm lacking somewhere, tell me about your new experiences! Lets talk about some office dramas! Than talking about who's in a relationship with whom. Lets change the topics to how to make more money! From how much of only our parents would give at the start of every week! #intern #newbeginnings #freshers #careergoals #brightfuture #linkedincommunity #linkedingrowth

Our interns are back this year a bit better and a bit more experienced. They've already shown growth since they started last year. We've witnessed them becoming more comfortable around our team and at ease with the tasks and projects assigned. Of course, this is due to the fact that our interns aren't there to fetch coffee (they're still struggling with the coffee machine sometimes). They've grown enough to contribute fresh perspectives and innovative ways of doing things. It's inspiring to see how they've progressed from knowing litle about our work to confidently suggesting new ways to approach challenges. Sometimes, they're really not in the mood to learn, and that's okay. After feeling the weight of the school year, not evey day will be your best day. But most of the time, they're happy to get things done. If you're about to work with young interns for the first time - here's a tip: use familiar analogies and real-world examples in their training. Relate teachings to video games, nights out with friends, or hobbies and interests. It's fun to see how their faces just light up when you mention a movie they like 👀 What tasks will our interns do this year? Stay tuned!

I joined Matar Media at the end of July. 🤗 On the 2nd week of the job, I fired 6 interns! 😱 You (as a founder/ operator) should too. 🤔 Matar is aiming high for 2023-2024, as high as 5,00,00,000 in revenue when I joined. 🤑 But I was curious to find out if we had the right team for it. 30~ odd members in total of which 9 were interns. 6 of those interns were in their 2nd year of college, giving their best to spice up the game for brands who work with Matar. The catch - They were allowed to work as fulltime interns for 30 days and another 15 days part time, because their college says so. That is terrible news, for everyone! 🟠 An average person takes roughly 15 days to be onboarded and pick up projects. So, 45 days of internships (with t&c by the college) becomes a joke! 🟠 Students in final semester of UG or PG programs have higher chance to capitalize the opportunity to convert to full-time associates. 🟠 Colleges should pick a battle - either educate kids through and through or accommodate kids to work with companies with as little friction as possible. Why should you care? ✅ You are wasting man hours of the intern reporting manager your own IF you don’t see an ROI for the org. ✅ Interns end up being your Employer Brand Ambassador. So, you might as well be strategic about it if you are looking to build legacy. ✅ Interns are potential specialists or MVP for the team they were onboarded for. I understand the rationale of an early stage start up wanting to work with interns - it’s either to keep cost low or to work with talents who enjoy the thrill of taking risks or both. This can be done the right way though, and that is the intention to write this post. As employers, let's build the right launch pads for early-stage talents!

INTERNS ARE OUR NEXT TURN 🌟🎓 There’s a person in the team or more that we too often overlook. Our interns are our force of freshness. With energy and ambition, and the biggest dreams of us all. In our agency worlds, it is on us to grow their creativity and make their dreams even bigger. To understand their insights, nurture their creativity and amplify their aspirations. It’s our work to help them make their futures gold. In our group of creative companies, our grads have a daily note and on it, they say: ‘Cos if you didn’t know, now you know.’ That’s exactly the point. We don’t know anything about the generations down the road so we need to get to know them and really listen to their ideas.

. July has ended. Only 5 months left for 2024. This is how my July looked like! 🍀Worked Out for 20 days. 🍀Earned Online for the first time 🍀Started an internship at Fleek 🍀Built good connections with over 10 people this month 🍀Recorded 30 videos for my YouTube channel 🍀My LinkedIn family expanded to 1140❤️ This wasn't easy. Had so many self-doubt movements, missed 2 family functions, had several thoughts of quitting and much more. SACRIFICE COMES BEFORE SUCCESS! And yes, dots connect at last. Didn't know what I was doing during the month but today, when I'm analysing my goals and progress. It felt like a did a great job. How was your July Month? P.S:- Who saw this post yesterday also?... It got scheduled at wrong date🥲 However, this quote always gives me motivation. #linkedinghostwriter #personalbranding #Julymonth #Contentwriter
