#World_Neurosurgery_Congress_2023 One of the sessions was the #Masterclass in Research. Present were the Editors-In-Chief of the Journal of Neurosurgery (Jim Rutka), Neurosurgery Journal (Douglas Kondziolka) and Acta Neurochirurgica (TiitMathiesen). I was honored to represent the Journal of Global Neurosurgery (Deputy Editor-In-chief). We agreed on one thing. Neurosurgical care should be based on Evidence; Neurosurgical Policies should be guided by Evidence

BOOK 2 REVIEW: PART 1 Title: When the air hits your brain by Frank Vertosick Rating: 8.5/10 📌This 13 chapter masterpiece is a compilation of patients Frank came across during his neurosurgery residency. 📌He managed to beautifully show the human aspect of disease. Along with a description of his encounters, he provides a short explanation of common neurosurgical conditions. 📌The takeaway points below are only summative of the true meaning, which you can only get when you read the book. I highly recommend this book to anyone interested in Neurosurgery. -You ain’t never the same when the air hits your brain. -If the patient isn’t dead, you can always make him worse if you try hard enough. -The only minor operation is one that someone else is doing. If you’re doing it, it’s major.
