I moved to Canada right before the #SocialFinance fund was established, so it's been very exciting to see the announcements of these investments! Here's my question. From what I understand, a big part of this fund is about the need to bring business approaches to charities and non-profit entities. What I don't understand is this-- If our goal is to address financial inequity, why the focus on establishing and supporting non-profits that can scale? Why not focus on establishing and investing in community impact-driven businesses that allow for under-represented communities to accumulate wealth?  Isn't it a question about WHO profits, and how they profit, and how wealth is shared, rather than nobody being allowed to profit?
