The NSW Government’s cashless gaming trial launched on the Far North Coast this week. Patrons at the Twin Towns Clubs & Resorts in Tweed Heads are now able to sign up to use the technology as part of an expanded trial being overseen by the Independent Panel on Gaming Reform with support from our Hospitality & Racing team. We caught up with technology provider ebet CEO Frank Makryllos and Twin Town Services Club CEO Rob Smith to find out more about how it works, and how venues will be communicating with their patrons with the aim of helping to minimise gambling harm. The trial will roll out across NSW in a staged approach with more venues to switch on during April, and overall be installed in more than 4,000 gaming machines across NSW.
