It was great to see our mine water heat work feature on Channel 4 News last night. The TV crew visited the fantastic Gateshead Council and Lanchester Wines schemes to see how water in former mine workings is being used to provide low-carbon heat to homes and businesses. Watch it back below 👇 #MineWaterHeat #MiningLegacy #GreenEnergy
Great to be able to use coal mines to produce energy again. Proud to be part of the process on both of these schemes in Gateshead, working with a great team at Drilcorp. Welldone to all concerned in both projects.
Really interesting piece and good to see that it's getting some wider exposure
It is the right time to exploit the available waters but so many mines were not just capped off but filled. I know we can drip boreholes into many abandoned workings but it is both costly and less certain So many financial backers are risk averse
This is incredibly interesting. A way to heat, potentially millions of homes, across the UK without the need for fossil fuels, by using a by product of fossil fuel mining is revolutionary, not only reducing CO2 emissions but the cost of people's bills too, well done!

Exciting times!

2moGreat piece! Perhaps the most important bit was the endorsement by the end customer who said she was both warmer and saving on her heating bills 👌🏻
