Congratulations to our 2024 THE CJ CUP Byron Nelson champion, Taylor Pendrith, on his first PGA TOUR win! What an incredible week of firsts filled with great golf while supporting an amazing cause. On Saturday, players and fans wore green in support of Mental Health Awareness Month, alongside custom player caddie bib nameplates sharing how they keep their mental health strong. That’s a first on the PGA TOUR! In addition, our title sponsor, CJ Group, graciously donated $1K for every birdie made on hole 17 to our tournament beneficiary, Momentous Institute, totaling $76,000! Thank you to all of our fans, volunteers, staff, and partners for your commitment and support. The week wouldn’t happen without you all! See you in 2025! #MoreThanAGame #MentalHealthForeAll CJ Logistics America Salesmanship Club Of Dallas

Should be thought provoking:
Exciting news… UK IT Leaders are privileged to announce Kevin Sinfield CBE as one of the key note speakers at our Community Day on September 25th in Birmingham. Kevin is a Leeds Rhinos rugby league great, turned England rugby union coach turned charity fundraiser. He will be speaking about what he has achieved on and off the field. His inspiring leadership and relentless focus on fundraising for MND shows how we should all strive to care more for each other. Kevin is a rugby icon. But in recent years has shown heroism of a very different kind through his selfless and extraordinary fundraising for motor neurone disease (MND), the terminal illness that has affected his best mate and former teammate Rob Burrow. You are likely to leave the event, thinking differently about who would you go the extra mile for to help in life. We can’t wait for this and are so pleased for all our community, guests and sponsors that they will be able to be part of this.

Collaborating with pharma to educate HCP's, improving patient outcomes and elevating the quality of healthcare globally.
Calling all football fans and commercial geniuses. ⚽ 🧠 A very smart man and dear friend of mine, Jonathan Sackier - Innovator, Aviator and Health Commentator gave me some sound advice; 'If you want money, ask for advice and if you want advice, ask for money'. So here I am 'asking for advice' 😉 for a good cause of course... Men's Sunday league football doesn't get the spotlight it deserves, but it plays a crucial role in our communities. It's more than just a game - it's a lifeline for men's mental and physical health. As no.1 spectator, I see what the guys go through in their personal lives and how the team and game wash away their stresses, even if it is just for 90 mins. Now comes the challenge: how can I leverage my commercial skills and network to secure sponsorships for my team, Sungate FC for next season and give back to good cause? 🤔 In exchange for supporting the mental and physical health of Sungate FC, I would like to raise awareness of charities close to our sponsors heart. I have lots of ideas on how to do this from QR codes on kit to Instagram, but I welcome yours. So please share your ideas (however wild), in the comments, or message me if you're interested in supporting us. 😍 P.S. We have won the cup and league for the last 3 years, for those who also like trophies 😝 🏆 #upthegate 🐊 #football #grassrootsfootball #charity #givingback #mentalhealth #menshealth

Please take a moment to read the post below, and if you can, donate to help and support this cause
This is my son Ben, Ben sadly lost his life in july 2022 whilst on holiday with his family This left all who new him devastated and empty. As a family we decided to raise money for the local rugby Leigh East the team Ben played for to allow all 14 years old's thru to and including open age to get heart screening which helped detect some abnormalities and saved other families go thru the same devastating loss as ourselves. Bens uncle and his friends are this year doing a grueling challenge to help raise money to do the same for Bens cousins team and other at the Golborne Parkside arlfc club. If any of my contacts would like to donate it would be really appreciated ,we are trying our best to detect heart abnormalities for the people who love playing the sport of rugby

Co-Founder and CEO of ZeroMils - Social Impact Consulting Firm - Our Mission is to Create #MilitaryThriving Cultures and Communities
This picture was taken in Central Park at the finish line of the #NYC Half Marathon last year. You might notice the frayed hat with the word #Courage written across the front. I’ve worn this cap at hundreds of training runs and races since 2015 — as a reminder of my own struggles with depression, and my road back to #MilitaryThriving. Meaningful employment; finding purpose through service; running and taking care of my body; and being part of a connected community were all key to my recovery. And this extraordinary woman, Laura Schmiegel, was with me every step of the way. Just like she will be in two weeks when we run the #NYC Marathon — 26.2 miles in support of Team Red, White & Blue. I know LinkedIn isn’t normally used for this purpose — you can choose to #give or not. The truth is: I am not asking you to donate, because we’re running 26.2 miles or doing 22 push-ups. I’m asking you to give as a means to: 1) help break down #stigma; 2) inspire #Veterans to tell their own stories, letting our brothers and sisters know: “it’s OK to not be OK”; and 3) demonstrate the path to #mentalwealth starts with taking a few important steps we all need to #thrive. In my experience — the solution to improving health and well-being for Veterans lies with us, as a #community. We are stronger, #together. Lifting each other’s spirits; working out with our #tribe; sharing camaraderie; and supporting one another as part of a #connected, community is exactly what Team RWB stands for. We’ll see you at the finish line on November 5th! 🇺🇸 🦅 🔥

Me? I know who I am. I'm a dude playing a dude disguised as another dude, oh and founder of BIA and on a mission to reduce male suicide with tech.
Hopefully, you have seen Matt's fundraising effort for Brothers in Arms with his ‘Keep in touch’ old boys' touch rugby team event. All funds raised are going towards our next Blethr updates (currently being worked on) because he sees as we do that the potential for Blethr is just the beginning, we envisage it truly as a means to reduce male suicide, the mission at the very center of Brothers in Arms. "Men's mental health is often misunderstood due to societal norms and expectations." Too often, men feel they must wear a mask of strength and stoicism, suppressing their emotions in order to fit into the societal mould. This can lead to feelings of isolation, anxiety and depression. "Many men feel they can't speak freely about their feelings or struggles." Conversations around mental health are tough for anyone, but for men the challenge is often greater due to societal expectations of masculinity and strength. - "Blethr aims to change this by providing an anonymous, supportive platform where men can express themselves freely without fear of judgment or misunderstanding." With Blethr's safe environment and AI-assisted conversation support, we offer a space that encourages open dialogue about mental health. We believe that by giving men the chance to express themselves freely without fear of judgement or misunderstanding we can help reduce the stigma around talking about mental health struggles. - "Supporting our fundraising efforts will allow us to keep it a free platform, enhance Blethr's features, and reach more people in need." Your contribution will allow us not only enhance our current offerings but also develop new features aimed at providing even better support for our users. Every donation brings us one step closer towards reducing male suicide rates through preventative measures. Support Blethr today; help us revolutionize the approach to men's mental health. We are scheduled for an update in 2024 with new features designed specifically with your needs in mind. Your support today enables us take a significant step towards improving this critical resource as well as reaching more people who need it most. In 3 weeks time around 125 people (almost 5% of all entries) will be taking part in the GEAR10K around King's Lynn wearing the Colours of the 8:56 Foundation raising awareness and support for Men's Mental Health and I've managed to somehow complete the application form to be one of them... Now... For those that know me, I think it's pretty obvious to say I'm not the epitome of an athletic specimen, there will be more walking and waddling than running but that's not really the point... So you know where this is heading... If you would consider sponsoring me that would be absolutely fabulous... £8:56 can do a lot for Men and Mental Health, just think of the difference you can make... One Donation is 1 person at our Men's Time Socials helping to reduce risk of isolation & loneliness Five Donations pays for 1 session of Talking Therapy for someone when they need it (we provide immediate access should it be required) Ten Donations will cover 3 months costs for our Time To Talk Support Group Twenty Donations would give someone the opportunity to attend a Wellness Weekend in the Autumn Twenty Five Donations would allow us to train a Mental Health First Aider - supporting local Sports Clubs and the wider Community. Any donation will make a huge difference to someone and together we can fight the stigma that surrounds Men and Mental Health #ItsTimeToTalk https://lnkd.in/ersDaSgE

Your support makes independence possible! 🚗 With your generous donation of $1,000, we could cover the cost of a crucial front suspension rebuild for a Program Car that will go to someone in need. This isn't just about fixing a car; it's about empowering someone to embrace independence and reliability. Imagine the impact: smoother rides, safer travels, and newfound freedom for an individual striving to be self-reliant. Your contribution doesn't just fix a vehicle; it paves the way for someone to access opportunities, maintain employment, and lead a more fulfilling life, especially when they have children. Take Marcellus, for example. Marcellus was brought to us by Up & Out Sober Living. Before getting his Program Car, he rode his bike nearly 10 miles to and from work until it got cold out. Then, he started taking a 90-minute bus ride to work. His car not only helps him get to and from work but also allows him to attend his son’s wrestling practices and won’t require him to find rides to games as he’s a wrestling, football, and baseball coach. You can see Marcellus receive his car here - https://lnkd.in/ez-EN_8E Help someone like Marcellus gain independence by helping us repair Program Cars. Selecting a team for the Keals Cup is a balancing act. Yes, you need the finest athletes available, but just as important is a support crew filled with people willing to do anything to extract every drop of effort from the competitors. So, when DAEMCO Australia were assembling our team, we knew there was one ankle strapper/masseur we had to have. Enter the man, the myth, the legend – Mick ‘Puggsly’ Kennedy. Despite not personally having a skerrick of sporting ability (although he is a winner of a few competitions not suitable to be mentioned to our LinkedIn family), Puggsly knows a lot about looking after champion athletes having raised some impressive specimens of his own. According to Puggsly, “Mate, it’s all about proper hydration and knowin’ how to keep ‘em motivated and relaxed. I’ve been doin’ it for years”. Puggsly is somewhat of a trailblazer and innovator in the training circles having even tested and used jackhammers and cordless drills as relaxation tools in his early days. Gareth Dickson Geschke Plumbing and Drainage Contractors had this to say about the great man, “Mick will bring an enormous amount of effort and courage to the team. In fact, as many friends and colleagues can attest, Puggsly is about the ballsiest person I know.” Please get behind Peter and YTB and tip in whatever you can afford.
