As Pride month wraps up, we would like to thank our employee resource group LIFT for hosting celebratory and inclusive events throughout the month. From a D.C. Pride event to a book club partnering with Women@Bozzuto, each event was hosted to spread love throughout Bozzuto. With the help of our passionate associates and LIFT's constant effort to express individual authenticity, create a culture of belonging and celebrate inclusivity, Bozzuto is proud to honor the LGBTQ community not only this month, but every day. Happy Pride Month!

D&I (Diversity and inclusivity) is no longer remaining an option for modern day businesses. Americans are putting the pressure on all of us to practice and embrace diversity and acceptance. D&I focused initiatives are the fasting growing programs, departments, and job roles right now. What is your organization doing to improve or development more D&I? 🤔 #diversity #inclusivity #growth
Today marks the anniversary of the Stonewall Riots, a pivotal moment in history that occurred on June 28, 1969. These events at the Stonewall Inn in New York City catalyzed the modern LGBTQ rights movement, spotlighting the urgent need for equality and civil rights in the United States and around the world. As we reflect on the progress made since Stonewall, it's important to recognize the work that still lies ahead. At Starfish Ad Age, we are committed to fostering an inclusive workplace where every member of our community feels valued and respected. We understand that diversity is not just about bringing different people together but about embracing and celebrating these differences as strengths. This anniversary serves as a powerful reminder of the resilience of the LGBTQ community and the importance of solidarity in the ongoing fight for equality. Let's continue to advocate for policies and practices that ensure everyone, no matter how they identify or who they love, has the opportunity to thrive in a supportive and equitable environment. #StonewallRiots #DiversityAndInclusion #PrideMonth #LGBTQRights"

Happy Pride Month! 🌈 June is dedicated to celebrating the contributions and successes of the LGBTQ community and shine a spotlight on the progress that has been made towards equality. Visibility and representation are so important as historically LGBTQ stories and experiences have been overlooked. Whilst Pride is a celebration, it is also a chance for us to reflect on how we support LGBTQ individuals within society and the workplace, and ways in which we can promote an inclusive and diverse environment. This might be through engaging with LGBTQ Art, supporting LGBTQ owned businesses, or reflecting on how we can be more inclusive in our daily lives. In the professional sphere it is essential that companies have the appropriate policies in place to support LGBTQ colleagues and to prevent discrimination. This could range from encouraging employees to include their pronouns in email signatures, to ensuring that information regarding parental and adoption leave are readily available and that they consider a variety of family dynamics. 🏘 Pride Month gives us a dedicated space to talk about the LGBTQ community; however, it is important that these practices and conversations take place all year round.

Why Do Brands Only Show Their True Colors in June? 🌈 As it is Pride Month, I have been reflecting on the influx of rainbow logos and celebratory posts from brands across all industries. It is heartening to see so much support for the LGBTQ community, but it also raises an important question: Why do these expressions of solidarity often disappear once July begins? True allyship means standing by the LGBTQ community year-round, not just when it is trending. It is about ensuring inclusive policies, supporting LGBTQ employees and customers, and fostering a culture where everyone feels safe and valued every single day. So, as we bid farewell to another Pride Month, let's challenge ourselves and the brands we support to keep the spirit of Pride alive all year. 🌟 #PrideMonth #LGBTQAllyship #InclusiveWorkplaces #YearRoundSupport #TrueColors

What is “Rainbow Washing?” Rainbow washing, defined as using rainbow colors to show support for LGBTQ equality without meaningful advocacy, is a sneaky marketing tactic. Companies often splash rainbows and LGBTQ imagery in June but forget about it later. This practice, termed "optical allyship," is wrong and unethical, especially when companies harm the LGBTQ community. How to Avoid Rainbow Washing Your Brand: 1. Stay consistent in advocacy. 2. Elevate LGBTQ voices. 3. Embrace workplace diversity. 4. Donate to LGBTQ advocacy groups. 5. Speak out against injustice. Move forward by being a genuine ally year-round, not just during Pride month. Let's strive for authentic support and allyship beyond the rainbow-colored marketing gimmicks. #HappyPride!
