The DAC Operational Procedures Core Team of our #EU_Rail Flagship Project 5 (#FP5) TRANS4M-R, comprised of several European #rail cargo companies SBB Cargo, Rail Cargo Group, and DB Cargo, recently embarked on a visit to the Maschen Yard in Hamburg, Germany. The team gained valuable insights into Maschen's current high-performance operations, particularly on its cutting-edge digitisation strategies, and how the implementation of the Digital Automatic Coupler (#DAC) would further propel automation within the European rail #freight sector. This visit signified a collaborative effort among European rail cargo players to leverage the power of digitisation and automation.
