#congratulations! To the partners behind the EMPHASIZING project - who are developing a solution to enable the #upcycling of reclaimed glass-reinforced #plastics (GRP) from end-of-service #windturbine #blades for reuse as #automotive parts - who have been shortlisted for a 2024 JEC Composites Innovation Award in the Circularity and Recycling category. These annual awards celebrate the most successful and innovative collaborative projects in the #composites industry. The Award winners will be announced on 8 February 2024, and the projects promoted at JEC World, the leading, international #composites show, on 5 - 7 March 2024. The EMPHASIZING partners are B&M Longworth Ltd, who is also representing the project for the Awards, EMS-CHEMIE AG, Ford Motor Company, Gestamp, Gen2plank Ltd, and the Brunel Composites Centre (BCC) (a Brunel University London-TWI partnership). Transforming Sustainability in Metal AM: f3nice's Visit to Amazemet Labs 🌍 At f3nice, our mission has always been to drive sustainability forward in the metal additive manufacturing (AM) industry. We are so happy that we now been approved as an Impact Innovation program. Net Zero Industry will accelerate the Swedish manufacturing industry’s development towards net zero emissions. Swedish Manufacturing industry faces tremendous challenges: turning large, complex, and established industrial eco-systems into Net Zero compliance within the coming decade. No single actor can realise this transition alone. The proposed programme will be the arena for knowledge creation, sharing, innovation, training, demonstration, and implementation of new skills and technologies towards the mission - a Net Zero industry 2040. The program leds by Teknikföretagen together with RISE Research Institutes of Sweden.

Innovating for sustainability is a challenge, but turning it into a success and achieving widespread adoption is another feat.
