Considering enrollment at one of Florida's twelve public, 4-year universities? Out-of-state students may now have the opportunity to qualify for an in-state tuition waiver, courtesy of Grandma and Grandpa. To qualify, you must: 1. Be admitted to one of the 12 public, 4-year universities in FL 2. Have a grandparent who is a legal FL resident 3. Earn a high school diploma 4. Have an SAT/ACT score in the 89th percentile or higher (1340/29) To be considered for the waiver, students must first meet initial academic eligibility requirements, gain acceptance to the college of their choice, and apply for the Grandparent Waiver at each school they are considering. Keep in mind that waivers are limited in number (approximately 350 in total) and awarded on a first-come-first-served basis. As you already may be aware, Columbia took the unprecedented decision to suspend 6 pro-Palestine students and evict them from their Columbia housing. We are asking all members of the Columbia/Barnard/Teachers College community – students, staff, faculty, alumni – to let the University know that we are paying attention, and that we find their conduct outrageous. Can you take a moment to email Claudia Marin Andrade – the Vice President of the Center for Student Success and Intervention and the administrator responsible for this decision – along with several other members of the administration, to demand that these students’ suspensions be revoked? Fill out the form on the right (below on mobile) and click the "Start Writing" button. On the next page, a template message will be pre-loaded. You can modify it and in one click send an email to all the people responsible for this abuse of power.

New York State Eduction Department has finally acknowledged that a 2021 Second Circuit decision, A.R. v. Connecticut Board of Education, requires that public schools in New York provide special education and related services to resident students until age 22, or the day before the student's 22nd birthday, provided they have not graduated with a high school diploma. As a result, it is important that schools provide Transition Services for potential graduates via a transition plan. #aguidedpathway #guidedpathwaysconsulting #transitionplanning
