I remember watching this wonderful TED Talk by Maya, and very important now in these times of lay offs and strange viral attacks and other illnesses, that life will always throw unexpected changes at us and this talk gives us a wonderful perspective on how to deal with those changes... It talks about how we can relook at, and enhance our capabilities and achieve greater things than before.. about how we can change the way we think/ internalize / derive meaning out of a situation and altering that helps us in becoming better happier person And how we need to go deep to understand our identities and not tag them to the titles/ positions or specific jobs that we do ...

The idea that unexpected changes can inspire lasting transformation within us resonates deeply. At MAPs, we emphasize the importance of embracing change as a core element of mindful leadership and workplace wellness. By paying close attention to our internal shifts, we not only adapt but also expand our potential, redefining our values and capabilities. Truly, it's through these moments of transformation that we discover new dimensions of ourselves and our capacity for growth and resilience. Thank you for sharing this powerful message!

Change is the only constant. I wouldn't invest a dime in it. Instead focus on those things in your control. Virtue, self-control, resilience, and recognition of destructive emotions. How? That's the million dollar question. Start by understanding that you're either gonna react or respond to things, especially "change." Choose to respond with gratitude, acceptance, virtue, self-control and what you will experience is a whole new level of being. 😉

True! Most of us don't like change because it makes us uncomfortable. Because we have no control over change, we must learn and adapt. Every new experience exposes us to a new set of ideas, opinions, and beliefs. It brings to fore strengths inside you that you were never aware of or didn’t believe you possessed. Change is good, it makes us resilient and open to growth.

"We become different people on the other side of change." Excellent point! This is a helpful reminder on how to embrace change. Thank you Maya Shankar

Embracing change can lead to personal and professional development, opening up opportunities we might not have considered. Though it can be scary and sometimes painful, change drives progress and keeps life dynamic.

This is a mindset that we need to decide in advance- because change is inevitable. We are going to have to pivot at some point, often not by our own choice. Will you see it as a setback, or a set-up for a new season of possibilities?
