Attending the GoWest - Nordic Venture Capital Forum in Gothenburg this year was truly inspiring. The Deep Tech investor day set the tone with insightful panels on the current state of deep tech, perspectives from LPs, and the importance of climate investing. As committed Deep Tech investors, we understand that early-stage industrial partnerships are essential for scaling. These partnerships not only provide a competitive edge but also accelerate time to market. Our team member Jenny Engerfelt served on the jury for the "The Future of Diagnostics" industry track, where we were thrilled to see startups collaborating with industry players from the outset. In diagnostics, where risks are high and the journey is long, such partnerships are invaluable for scaling. With over 800 startups, investors, and industry experts in attendance, we were glad to see the growing focus on Deep Tech. The interesting part is that both non-institutionals (Beekee and Kiwix) had a client-centric, content- and results-first approach (and grow from there), whereas Giga is entirely top-down, working with governments to map schools everywhere before trying to get them all connected to the broader internet.
