I'm delighted to be speaking at #Xcelerate in partnership with SymphonyAI on 18 October in Paris. AI is one of the hottest topics in the retail industry and SymphonyAI has some of the most impressive tools that I've seen. Lots of companies are talking a good AI game, but I was seriously blown away by the sophistication and clear benefits that SymphonyAI is offering retailers. I can only see the chasm between those utilising the benefits of AI and those that are not widening in the coming years. While ML and AI are not new, we're on a steep technological curve of innovation and businesses can ill-afford to remain stagnant in its adoption. I'll be providing my view on the impact of digitisation on the sector, the continued importance of transformation, and how it has become a differentiator of success. I genuinely believe the industry has entered an inflection point where the competitive advantage enjoyed by early adopters is fading as the benefits of digital transformation become more fragmented. The speed of technological innovation will create a moment for industry leaders to solidify their market position while opening a window of opportunity for ‘second movers’. Here, technology will be more accessible and affordable, consumer adoption will be more widespread, and partnerships can be built on the body of knowledge created by tech giants to digital start-ups as they look to scale.  Exciting times! I must admit, it's not flawless, but I'm genuinely impressed by what we've achieved so far.
