Yesterday, I had the pleasure to take part on AON Cyber Camp 2024. Full house for a very interesting event, where the highlights of AON Cyber Resilience Report 2024 were presented in premiere. I was honoured to take part in a round table discussion with Gustavo San Felipe Lobo (Telefonica), David Esteban (Cellnex), and Rafael Ceres Campos (Iberdrola), and moderated by Carlos Bereciartua Gonzalez (AON). Many thanks to my fellow speakers and to Aon for the opportunity to contribute to this very interesting debate on the collaboration between CISOs and Enterprise Risk departments. My personal takeaways from the whole event: 1) Cybersecurity teams continue to be inside a perfect storm, where competing forces converge:  - evergrowing rampant cybercrime industry, aggravated by geopolitical tensions and augmented by malicious use of GenAI, - steep increase of compliance complexity and variety,  - unstoppable digital transformation for every organization - AI (especialy GenAI) as a clear and unavoidable disruptor for every industry 2) Compliance with regulations get more demanding, as recent / new frameworks come into force: NIS2, DORA, Cyber-resilience Act, EU AI regulation, ... These regulations are on one hand challenging because of the effort and cost to comply, but also an opportunity for Infosec organizations: - as a lever to defend initiatives and decisions to better / further protect businesses from Cyber threats - as a way to further involve and engage the Board of Directors 3) Cybersecurity concept is now evolving into Technology Risk, as CISO and Enterprise Risk Management work increasingly closely. This collaboration has many advantages: - Quantification, benchmarking and contextualization of Cyber/Technology risks across the whole organization - Visibility of Cyber / Technology Risk from the Board 4) AI, especially GenAI, is both an opportunity (when used for good) and a threat (when misused or when used for evil). Organizations need transversal governance structures to harness the benefits of AI / GenAI while at the same time being protected from the risks (including Cyber) its use entails. #Cybersecurity #TechnologyRisk #GenAI #NIS2 #EnterpriseRiskManagement

WE made it! FY23 has been a roller coaster ride, a rewarding one that testifies all the hard work we’ve put in to make our Customer’s Digital Workspace a safer one. I’d describe my relationship with my RSM - Jane Tan is a Mix Double Team (like the one in Badminton ). At times we backed each other up, supporting each other during times of uncertainty. Sometimes we Divide and Conquer, sometimes we push through together. I couldn't imagine to have achieve this without her as my partner on this journey. She had taught me what it means to persevere through all the challenges, entrusting each other on things that we good at. On top of that, I’d also like to thank the Leadership team that has supported my development in my journey with Palo Alto Networks Eddie Lim Aaron Chan. Our Ecosystem Partner has also played a salient role in this one, WE will continue to work with Partners who had chosen us as their Cybersecurity Partner of choice to serve and create a safer, more efficient Digital Workspace for our Customers.
