Insurance leader who has successfully transitioned into insurance and allied health recruitment. I can be contacted on 0415 620779 or [email protected]
We recently conducted a communication-focused poll within our network, and I wanted to share some key insights from the results. Out of the 28 individuals who participated, almost 70% are involved in the insurance/financial services sector. The majority of these individuals are specifically engaged in workers' compensation or life insurance. This is unsurprising given a significant segment of our network is centered around claims. The findings suggest clear opportunities for improvement, particularly in the realms of transparent and open communication, conversations about career growth pathways, and acknowledgment of contributions. It's worth noting that effective communication is a reciprocal process, so it appears, both business leaders and employees need to take more initiative and actively engage each other. So, my advice to anyone would be the person to take the first step. I came across a post today emphasising the crucial role of trust and it being the foundation of a cohesive team. This concept strongly resonates with the importance of effective communication within a workplace setting. Let me know your thoughts and happy to discuss further if anyone is interested in doing so. #communication #leadership #lifeinsurance #workerscompensation

Retained Executive Search Recruitment Professional helping Insurance firms identify and procure top talent in the Insurance market.
Struggling to keep your high performers engaged and on board? You're not alone. 🌟 High performers are the lifeblood of any thriving business, especially in the fast-paced Non-Life Insurance market. But how do you ensure these top talents remain under your wing and don't fly off to the competition? Here's a blueprint for success: 🔑 Tailor Your Approach: High performers are not a monolith. Get to know them individually. What motivates one may not inspire another. Personalize your management style to suit each high performer's aspirations and career goals. 🚀 Challenge and Empower: These individuals thrive on challenges that stretch their capabilities. Provide them with opportunities to innovate and lead projects. Autonomy is key - trust them to make decisions and take ownership of their work. 📈 Career Development: Invest in their growth. Offer training, mentorship, and clear pathways for advancement. High performers want to see a future with your company where they can continue to grow and succeed. 💬 Open Communication: Maintain a dialogue. Regularly check in not just about work, but about their well-being and job satisfaction. An open-door policy encourages them to share ideas and concerns, fostering a sense of belonging and respect. 🏆 Recognition and Reward: Don't hold back on praise. Recognize their contributions publicly and reward them in ways that are meaningful to them. This could be through bonuses, promotions, or even simple gestures of appreciation. 🎯 Align Visions: Ensure your high performers understand how their role contributes to the company's success. When they see the impact of their work, they're more likely to stay invested in the company's journey. Remember, managing high performers isn't just about keeping them; it's about creating an environment where they can continue to excel and drive your business forward. #HighPerformers #TalentRetention #LeadershipExcellence

Company culture can make or break an employee satisfaction score. As an employee, do I feel welcomed, am I listened to, and is my contribution valuable and contributing to overall success? These are essential questions leaders need to hear and have answers to. Gary Nester, CIO of Brown and Brown Insurance, is locked in on the seven C’s of great leaders: culture, cultivate, communicate, collaborate, customer, courage, and change.
