Physics

Based on my quick popularity as a sensible and effective teacher, a private school's administration, where I had just joined in 2009, included me in the teacher recruitment interview board. There was a 45 year old Physics teacher, who secured some 90 % in M.Sc. from North Bengal University, with a B.Ed. degree. He had a prolonged experience (on paper). I found it very awkward to interview such experienced candidates, myself being about 21 back then, so I always kept quiet and let the other members of the Board do all that questioning. But I was always insisted to ask something in conclusion. So I posed this question. We know, drifting of electrons is current (rudimentarily speaking). If I cut off a current carrying wire with drift speed x m/s, and put the severed end of the wire near a cylindrical glass of base radius r and height h meters, then how long shall it take for the glass to be filled with electrons? It was a nonsense but fun question, just to lighten up the mood as he was being embarrassed continuously due to his inability to answer most questions. He actually calculated it using unitary method, and gave me an answer. I had to excuse myself to control my laughter. I still do not respect those who have bags full of degrees but no common sense and subject knowledge. 12th Result 2024 of Tamil Nadu Board #education #students #career #tamilnaduboard #12thresult #result #exam #board The Tamil Nadu State Board has declared the results for Class 12. A total of 94.56 per cent of students passed the examination. The pass percentage for boys stands at 92.37 per cent, while for girls it is 96.44 per cent. Of the total 7,60,606 students, 7,19,196 successfully passed the examination. Among 7,532 higher secondary schools, 2,478 schools attained a perfect 100 percent pass rate. Computer Science recorded the highest pass percentage at 99.8 per cent, followed by Chemistry with 99.14 per cent. In Mathematics, 2,587 students secured full marks, while in Physics, 633 students and in Chemistry, 471 students secured a perfect 100 per cent this year.
