It’s #WorldEnvironmentDay2024! Climate change poses a significant threat to Kenya’s socio-economic wellbeing, jeopardizing the achievements made under initiatives like Kenya’s Vision 2030 & #SDGs. At CEPCJ, we have developed several projects aimed at promoting #climatejustice. Through robust research, policy advocacy, and strategic litigation, we aim to hold governments accountable for their climate responsibilities. We also believe in advancing #bizhumanrights in the context of climate justice to ensure that there is corporate respect for #humanrights. We endorse this year’s theme of #WorldEnvironmentDay2024 which focuses on land restoration, halting desertification and building drought resilience under the slogan “Our land. Our future. We are #GenerationRestoration.” #CEPCJ #ClimateJustice.

At Global Rights Defenders we know the importance of water for communities worldwide. Today on World Water Day, we champion the idea of cooperating on water so we can create a ripple effect - fostering harmony, generating prosperity and building resilience to shared challenges Did you know... - that 2.2 billion people live without safe drinking water? - that almost half the world's population is experiencing severe water scarcity for part of the year, if not longer? - or that water related deaths have dominated the list of disasters over the past 50 years and account for 70% of all deaths related to natural disasters? #WorldWaterDay #waterforpeace #cooperation
