For over a century and a half, the Tata Group has been synonymous with public welfare and corporate responsibility. This legacy continues in Tata Communications, a company that doesn't just see itself as a business entity but as a Digital Ecosystem Enabler deeply integrated within the communities it serves. At the heart of Tata Communications' ethos is the belief that the expansion of digital technology and connectivity plays a pivotal role in advancing human progress. Beyond compliance, Tata Communications' CSR strategy is shaped by the broader Tata group's framework, including the Tata Affirmative Action Program (TAAP) and organizational priorities. This comprehensive approach ensures CSR is not just a corporate mandate but an ingrained aspect of the company's culture and value system. Leading the charge in these endeavors is Pallavi Barua, Director of CSR at Tata Communications. With a rich background in the development sector, Pallavi's approach to CSR is characterized by a deep connection with the community, innovative problem-solving, and profound respect for collaborators. Her guiding principle, rooted in the Tata Group's ethos, is always asking, "Is this the right thing to do?" In a recent conversation, we had the opportunity to delve into Pallavi's insights on CSR and its impact, watch the full video here. #dusspokeindiainc #CSR #Leadership #CommunityImpact #SocialResponsibility #ImpactfulCSR #LeadershipInsights

It was a pleasure to participate in today's Tata Consultancy Services AOD Forum. Preeti D'mello did a masterful job facilitating the discussion. We explored various DEI strategies and Carrie Pixler Ryerson shared the successful initiatives Shamrock Foods Company has pursued. In our conversation, I emphasized the importance of individual empowerment in realizing career aspirations. As someone of Asian descent, I shared my journey and the fallacies I once believed in: 1. Hard work alone is enough: I used to think that simply working hard and staying under the radar would naturally advance my career. I've learned that having mentors and advocates is crucial for professional growth. 2. Asking for help is a sign of weakness: I believed that seeking assistance meant showing vulnerability. In reality, we all need to network and build a personal board of directors—comprising friends, family, peers, subordinates, and superiors—to navigate challenges and seize opportunities. While DEI programs at our companies may be welcome, we must empower ourselves by recognizing we are the masters of our own destiny. It's vital to enrich ourselves by expanding our horizons and gaining knowledge to be prepared for future opportunities. 📢 Attention everyone! 📢 I wanted to share a powerful message from David Kong, Founder of DEI Advisors & former CEO of BWH Hotels, a mentor and advocate who has profoundly influenced my career. 🌟 David's leadership qualities have been a guiding light for me, and I continue to learn from him daily, striving to emulate his success in my professional journey. David's participation in the Tata Consultancy Services AOD Forum delved into crucial DEI strategies. He emphasized the importance of individual empowerment in realizing career aspirations, a message everyone should pay close attention to. 💡 David's commitment to DEI is not just a talk but a walk. 🚶♂️ As a neurodiverse executive, I've experienced firsthand the inclusive environments he creates, where everyone, regardless of their differences, can thrive by delivering value. 🌍 I have also witnessed how fast environments can change when "bosses" talk the talk but fail to create a DEI-supportive culture. ⚠️ David shared some vital lessons from his journey: 1. Hard work alone isn't enough: Mentors and advocates are crucial for professional growth. 💪 2. Asking for help isn't a sign of weakness: Building a personal board of directors—friends, family, peers, subordinates, and superiors—is essential for navigating challenges and seizing opportunities. 🤝 While DEI programs at our companies are welcome, David reminds us to empower ourselves by expanding our horizons and gaining knowledge to prepare for future opportunities. His insights are invaluable for anyone looking to grow and succeed. 🚀 Let's all take this to heart and continue to support and empower each other in our professional journeys. 🌟 Best regards, Greg #Leadership #DEI #Mentorship #CareerDevelopment #ProfessionalGrowth #Empowerment #Networking #InclusiveLeadership #Neurodiversity #Inspiration #LeadershipJourney #BusinessSuccess #Innovation #SupportYourNetwork #AsianLeadership

Thank you David and Carrie for shearing your journey/thoughts on this important topic. I really enjoyed our discussions. DEI is not just a corporate initiative for TCS; it is a fundamental principle that shapes the fabric of our organizations, communities, and our everyday lives. The pursuit of diversity, equity, and inclusion is about more than achieving representation or checking boxes. It is about fostering an environment where every individual feels valued, heard, and empowered to contribute their best. As leaders, it is our responsibility to champion DEI not just as a moral imperative, but as a strategic advantage. Studies have consistently shown that diverse teams are more innovative, more creative, and more effective. They bring a wealth of perspectives that drive better decision-making and reflect the diverse markets we serve. In short, diversity is not just the right thing to do; it is the smart thing to do.” Kavita Nair Preeti D'mello David Kong Carrie Pixler Ryerson Heather Mitchell Wilson, PMP Wilson Bharat . As someone who started her career with the TATA group, upholding company values was ingrained at a young age. So life came full circle as we undertook the exercise of articulating our own company values. I’ll be honest, at some level I was wondering if – -Was this really required? -Are we big enough to have values and all that? -How will this affect our business? -Will this only remain on paper? But after some soul searching (and also finding space to put these up), I realized that they won’t be just words on a page – they are: -Setting the foundation of everything we do -Guiding us in every decision we make, every project we undertake, and every interaction we have with our clients and partners -Committing that everyone at WordBerries LLP, from our leadership team to our newest hires, is dedicated to upholding these in everything we do Join us in our mission to help more businesses tell their story as we continue to shape our future. #CompanyValues #Integrity #Innovation #Transparency #JoinOurTeam #FullCircle

This picture was my farewell to the Tata Group, a chapter filled with dedication and silent achievements that came to a close. The time was an endpoint to a journey marked never by a quest for recognition but by a commitment to authenticity and perseverance of keeping your word. In extending my stay to see through the completion of projects I had passionately begun, I upheld a principle that has always guided me: being true to oneself. I had to ensure that the first four products reached the pre-production/launch stage, setting the team up for future success. Throughout my career, I have always believed that intrinsic motivation outweighs external rewards or fear of punishment. A mentor once advised me that the balance of reward and fear drives people to act. However, my philosophy has always leaned towards being driven by a vision, an inner calling. This belief strongly resonated in our work, articulated in the relaunch communication strategy for PVBU, where the team encapsulated the essence of being driven from within. As I look back at this phase, the richness of the experience was shaped not just by achievements and milestones but by the deeper alignment of my values with my professional path. The journey thus far has been intricately woven with leadership lessons, the spirit of innovation, and the relentless pursuit of staying true to one's convictions. The support and collaboration of those I have worked alongside has been pivotal. As I venture forward, I do so with a profound gratitude and an invigorated readiness to face the challenges and opportunities.

🌟 Energizing Accomplishment Caution! 🌟 I am thrilled to share a milestone in my professional development journey that marks not fair the perfection of a learning stage but also the starting of a modern chapter in my career. After an enhancing and serious period of consideration, I have effectively earned a certificate in Soft Skills from Tata Consultancy Services, an achievement that fills me with both pride and appreciation. Delicate aptitudes, frequently underestimated following specialized capacities, are the bedrock upon which effective careers are built. This comprehensive program secured an endless cluster of basic abilities, including viable communication, administration, cooperation, problem-solving, versatility, and passionate insights. Each module was outlined as not fair to give information but to challenge our biases, thrust our boundaries, and motivate contemplation. In a time overwhelmed by mechanization and artificial insights, the human touch, the capacity to associate, get it, and lead with sympathy, stands out as imperative. #ProfessionalDevelopment #SoftSkills #Leadership #Teamwork #Communication #EmotionalIntelligence #CareerGrowth #amity #lifelonglearning #agbs
