Turns out it wasn’t a joke. What’s 100 miles long but only 200 metres wide? "The Line". Saudia Arabia’s future megacity 🏙 The most dramatic project in the world of architecture and construction right now. Try and picture that: a 100 mile stretch and 200 metres wide. And flanked on either side by 500 metre high mirrored buildings. It's planned to house 9 million people 👩👩👧👦 It's part of a Saudi rebrand to rival Dubai and Abu Dhabi as employment hotspots and boost its economy by 2030. Why you? 🤷🏽♂️ As I have made some good progress through my inbox answering and advising fellow ambitious peers wanting to move to the UAE, one question comes to mind: “What makes you different?” 🤷🏽♂️ In other words why should a hiring manager choose you over the talent that is already on the ground? 🤔 If they’re looking specifically for someone from overseas (it is rare but it does happen! 🤯), then what makes you different from the thousands of other applicants?? If you can answer this question then you are on your way in the right direction 💪🏽 If you can’t - then no matter how many jobs you apply for, you will be met with difficulty. It’s harsh but it’s true 🤷🏽♂️ Work on your differentiator. It doesn’t have to be something seismic (although that would help 😄).
