You’re unemployed, spending all day applying to jobs. Imagine that you outsourced your job applications to a Filipino virtual assistant. They spend 40 hours a week applying to jobs for you, doing 250 applications a week. You pay them ~$6 an hour for this work, while you pick up a job paying $18 an hour.
