In today's digital age, user-generated content (UGC) has become a powerful tool for gauging public sentiment and understanding trends. Coachella, known for its vibrant atmosphere and celebrity attendees, serves as a microcosm of popular culture, making its UGC particularly insightful. Song Sleuth ran an analysis on all user-generated content (UGC) uploaded to YouTube up to one week after the festival and discovered a total of 1,291 videos which had collectively garnered over 14.2 million views after just two weeks. By now, the dust has settled in the Coachella valley, home to North America’s most prominent festival, the eponymous Coachella Valley Music and Arts Festival, which took place over two consecutive weekends in April. Much ink has been spilled on this year’s troubled edition, from ticket sales to technical difficulties, but what story does the user-generated content (UGC) from the festival tell? Using our proprietary technology, we scanned all Coachella UGC uploaded to YouTube up to one week after the festival, analysing over 1,200 videos with upwards of 14M views. Here’s what we discovered…

Using structural equation modeling (SEM), a survey of festival-goers revealed the intricate relationships among factors like skill performance, self-congruence, ambiance, and consumer interaction, shaping authenticity, satisfaction, destination loyalty, and behavioral intentions. Interestingly, memory was identified as a moderating role, which interlinking satisfaction, behavioral intentions, and destination loyalty. Absolutely not. An interesting perspective and some important points that need to be heard and carefully considered. But overall a potentially narrow lens. My research is beginning to suggest that globally AI is being used as a tool for enhancment of live music expirences, including providing enhanced platforms and tools, greater exposure for live performing artists and greater accessability immersive expirences for live music consumers spanning wider reaching audiences. I hope to have an opportunity to discuss this in my paper by comparing and contrasting qualitative data gathered during my fellowship journey. - the real question is how can we best prepare our creators and facilitators to embrace the future, rather than shying away from it or approaching it with a negative mindset.
