We are looking for a Financial Advisor for the Kofi Annan International Peacekeeping Training Centre (KAIPTC) in Accra, Ghana. Scope of Work: · The Financial Advisor will guide the KAIPTC on budgeting and reporting. · The expert will also provide advice on sound technical practices and methods. · The expert shall work in close consultation with the Chief Finance Officer and staff of the Finance Department. · The Financial Advisor shall be required to conduct training for KAIPTC employees. · The Financial Advisor shall work towards building capacity of the KAIPTC finance staff on Financial Management and other relevant skills. Requirements: · Swiss nationality. · Finance professional with an MBA or an advance degree in finance or related field. · Fluency in written and spoken English. · Excellent analytical, report writing and presentation skills. · Excellent planning, coordination and organizational skills. CA/ACCA Qualified with over 5 years working experience and you're proposing 5k net. That's about $400 at today's going rate per month. Come on, Ghana! Considering inflation is 35.2%, the real value of this amount is GHS3.2k, rent, transportation, medical, food, water, etc; how does finance manager survive and have a peace of mind to provide sound financial management for the company? How much is even annual subscription and even CPDs? Why have you degraded the profession like this? Glassdoor is quoting 13k for similar roles. A lawyer charges more than twice of this for appearing in court for a case and you're proposing peanuts for a chartered accountant who has over 5 years. Please put some respect on the profession!
