🚀✈🚁 Air France-KLM anticipates potential losses from the Olympics 🚀✈🚁 ▪️Despite being an official partner of the Paris 2024 - Comité d'organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de 2024, Air France-KLM is bracing for potential financial turbulence. The airline group estimates losses ranging from €160 million to €180 million due to logistical challenges surrounding the sporting event! ▪️The losses are likely connected to disruptions caused by the Olympics. This could involve increased air traffic control restrictions, airspace limitations, or security measures impacting flight schedules and potentially leading to cancellations or delays. The European group is also forecasting a reduction in travel volumes from Paris to other destinations ▪️This news comes amidst a contrasting picture for Air France-KLM. The airline group reported a first-quarter net loss in 2024, despite a rise in revenue and passenger numbers.
