Teaching People LinkedIn™ Using The Triangle Strategy/LinkedIn™ Trainer, Speaker & Author/Attract The People You Want To Talk To/Mom Taxi/Buffalo Bills Fan
This. If you can't laugh at yourself every now and then...what's the point of it all? Luckily I caught it before it got out. I chuckled and rolled my eyes. I just wrapped up my family's participation in a two day neighborhood yard sale, this was one of the signs that I wrote up to put out on a small kids bookshelf. Yeah, I wrote it up after a long day of selling on Friday for day two on Saturday. Here's how my Friday went: I was up and going super early, got myself ready and then got everything ready for the sale, ran out to tell my sister's story (yeah, the one about her being killed by a drunk driver) to an assembly of juniors and seniors at a local high school, then came back to work the yard sale. When that wrapped up, I remade signs after the rain destroyed them, hence the picture, ( I hate when mother nature gets in the way of plans). Then my mom taxi responsibilities kept me busy all night: 5:30am-8:45pm. Long day. Then yesterday, just an 11 hour day, I worked the sale (I made up a new sign don't worry), ran out to a drum lesson for my son, prepped my leftovers, and loaded up my vehicle to drop off a whole bunch of stuff to sell at a second hand kids shop. Today, after flag football - itemize donations and drop them off then some much needed deep cleaning. I'm sharing this picture here because I thought it's a good example of...sometimes you just have to laugh at the little mistakes. No harm, no foul. The sign didn't make it to the sale. When was the last time you laughed at yourself? Have you ever done a yard sale? If so, tell us about the experience! #laugh #mistakes #yardsale #leverageup #purplesquirrelmagnet ------------------------------ If you love this post, SAVE it! Yesterday marked a joyous occasion, as one of our dearest friends welcomed her first child into the world—a perfect little son who is healthy and strong, and already loved by so many people. His mom is not just any friend, but an industry expert we met in our early days at CoreLogic, and became part of the intertwined fabric of both our professional and personal lives. She’s also the catalyst who brought us serendipitously back together to create Sagely & Company. When we set out to build our company, we were super intentional about family, friends, and our local community being at its core and the heart of our purpose. We knew that to thrive as entrepreneurs, we would need to achieve harmony and balance across all of these areas, especially in the modern era where our professional and personal lives are often woven together. Helping to welcome the newest addition to our friend's family was a powerful reminder of the profound bonds across our networks that inspire us in large and small moments, and how these important relationships shape us holistically. For Sagely & Co., this new life was a celebration of family, friends, and community, and putting all else aside to prioritize and be with those we hold near and dear, and to just focus on the moment. Here’s a little look at how our business and families come together through supporting our community, sponsoring our kids’ sports teams, and cheering them on from the sidelines. There's nothing more humbling and rewarding than seeing your child represent your growing business. #family #friends #community #fractionalmarketing

What is it like in ed-tech sales during February? It’s basically like dating in your 40’s. Lots of nos, catfished by hot leads, and ghosting. Education folks are generally the nicest around. We are geat people pleasers and hate to say no, even if it’s because funding for the year is gone. 👻 🍋 Dear admins, it’s ok to say budgets are dry. You never know, there may be another option. Tell us. We want to help! 🍋 Dear sales peeps, July will be here soon. Until then, keep reaching out to say hi, ask how we can help, and make lemonade out of lemons. 🍋 Keep celebrating! This photo was taken a few years ago with the best Lulu cheer squad at the Houston Marathon. The guy in last place? He was cheering on the runner barely in front of him. #lemonadeera #edtech #salescycle #justkeepswimming #schoolfunding #educationfunding #lululemon #cheersquad #salesandmarketing

Last slide, which are YTs takeaways, is especially fascinating. Moving to a #faneconomy maybe? As someone with Dead Head family members, there's something to be said for a strong fan base being it's own draw. Especially in this digital day and age where we need all the #community we can get!

Be like Wes. In 2025, I’m inviting 17 old and new friends to join me at the family farm. Completely selfless (misspelling - selfish) move on my part. My son-in-law (Nashville singer songwriter w/a man bun & loves my daughter) and I will invite others with musical chops to record a song together. I will handle the cooking. I went to Culinary School and you’ll eat my paper plate meals and think WHAT? Get jacked on Guinness Stout 0 (NA) and HopWtr. I kind of want to invest in some people I think are LinkedIn talented but want to support in real life. Launch a new merch line together? Ideate a new community? Get a tattoo with my 84 year old mom? Get personal round the fire pit. I’ll have Paul, our Art Director (FEED), make a documentary of the 5 days that will make us cry and laugh. When we launched The Content Crib 2.0 (25-26 October) and The Content Crib 3.0 (Feb 11-12 2025) we sold out 2.0 quickly and are rapidly filling up 3.0. I need community. You can’t pay me to attend a tradeshow, but I’ll build a version of Woodstock on the land that Grandpa Scott raised Black Angus. I think LinkedIn can foster a virtual supportive community and build friendships that meet in person. I want to be like Wes next year. Feels like I’m supposed to charge up the Rivian Lightship camper and meet folks where they live, work, and play. What inspires you to be in community?

Summer's been flying by! From video shoots to attending a garden party, we've been enjoying the season while making a difference. Our latest "Out and About" gif spotlights this, but it's more than just a highlight reel: It represents our community's spirit of caring, action, and impact. But here's the real question: How can your organization get involved in advancing our community?

Community isn’t just a buzzword, it’s the heart of collecting. 💛 The best part of being a collector? The connections formed around shared passions. Whether online or in person, collectors love to come together, trade, and bond over their latest finds. Brands can tap into this sense of community by hosting events, creating fan spaces, and encouraging interactions. At EQL, we’ve seen firsthand how brands like McFarlane Toys build strong collector communities through pop-up events, online forums, and more. Want to make your brand a part of the collector conversation? See how engagement drives loyalty 👉 https://lnkd.in/dehu9P8H #collectingcommunity #fanengagement #brandloyalty #collectibles
