Here’s his perspective on the experience: 💬 “Mentorship played a pivotal role in our growth. 🚀 Some of the mentors we had became our investors and others helped us better understand our business model and the goals to focus on to grow and be relevant for Western VCs. The program has significantly influenced our vision, reinforcing our commitment to growth and expansion in the USA market while setting clear goals for the future.” 📖 Discover more about their story on our blog: https://lnkd.in/dxM-M7-M 👏 Mihai GAVAN, Septimiu Pop, Sorin Bogriceanu, Adrian Cioclei #creatoreconomy #scaling #startupexpansion #startupstory

5,000 people, 50 restaurants, and 2 weeks to go from zero to one.🚀 Plate Post launched Video Menus at Taste of Tribeca Food Festival over the weekend, and here’s what I learned: 1. Throwing your product in the wild is one of the best ways to learn how people use it. 🐅 2. Don’t worry about “perfection,”shipping fast and iterating is better. 🔄 3. Use the ‘mom’ test on people when explaining your product and ideas. Human nature is to be enthusiastic and supportive to any concept, regardless of actual use and function! 🗣️ --- Celebrating a win, have a ton to learn, and product can be improved. Back to the drawing board! #startup #startupjourney #founderlife #dayinthelife #startupstories #venturecapital #bootstrap

Ever noticed how a pack of instant noodles and a startup MVP mirror each other? Allow me to explain this surprising comparison! 🚀 First off, they both prioritise speed. Just like how you can whip up a pack of instant noodles in just a couple of minutes when hunger strikes, a startup MVP is all about getting your product out there fast. The goal? To start learning from real users as quickly as possible. 🍜 Both are also all about the essentials. With instant noodles, you get the basics – noodles, seasoning, and maybe a few dehydrated veggies if you're lucky. Similarly, an MVP includes only the core features necessary to solve a key problem for your users. Anything that doesn't serve that purpose is left out for future versions. Finally, there’s the feedback loop. Ever tried tweaking your instant noodles? Maybe add an egg, some greens, or a splash of hot sauce to make it right. That's kind of like iterating on an MVP. Based on user feedback, you refine and adjust until you get closer to what your customers really want. So, whether it satisfies a growling stomach or a market need, both instant noodles and MVPs show us that starting simple, learning fast, and continuously improving can lead to some pretty satisfying results. Who knew fast food and fast innovation had so much in common? Do you agree with this fun comparison? Feel free to drop a comment below with your thoughts or any other interesting analogies you have in mind. #startup #MVP #softwaredevelopment #founders #appdevelopment #noodles

🍕 Pizza Instead of Rounds: Part Two Remember when I told you about how Matthew Parkhurst from the startup Antimetal managed to raise $1 million by spending $15k on pizza? 🔥 Well, that post sparked quite a discussion, which I’m very pleased about. One of our followers even conducted their own investigation. Thank you, Boris. Boris had a very logical assumption: American investors and companies can’t be THAT trusting to eat and even store pizza in their office from an unknown source, without any warning. And indeed: the pizza in this story was only partially a surprise. So, if you’re thinking about ordering lunch for your partners, read this first 👇 ➡️ Before sending the pizza, the team reached out to potential clients and informed them that they would soon receive pizza from Antimetal. ➡️ They also sent pizza to popular bloggers in New York and San Francisco. ➡️ Additionally, they made a few personalized gifts. For instance, they delivered 7 pizzas to a developer who joked on Twitter about being fired from 7 companies. ➡️ This was all followed by a media campaign. In the end, their efforts had the desired effect: a post mentioning Antimetal went viral, and the startup more than recouped their lunch investment. Now I want to ask you: do you think strategy could work for any business? And if so, is it suitable for all markets? If you missed the previous part, check it out via the link: https://lnkd.in/eSXm4JN9
Pizza is better than investors 🔥 🗣 I'm not kidding. It saved Matthew Parkhurst, CEO and co-founder of the New York-based cloud startup Antimetal. 📌He spent $15k on pizza and turned it into $1 million. But how? And why pizza? Let me explain: 1️⃣ Antimetal was getting ready to emerge from its beta phase. And Parkhurst wanted to make potential customers aware that the company even existed. 2️⃣ To solve the recognition problem, Matthew came up with an ingenious and simple solution. He bought lunch for his clients. 3️⃣ He sent out more than 1,000 pizzas from local pizzerias in New York and San Francisco in boxes adorned with his company’s name and contact information. 4️⃣ It worked: Roughly 75 of the companies that received pizza became Antimetal clients. Thanks to Tom Huddleston, Jr. from CNBC for the insights.

As a startup founder, how do you know you are pursuing the RIGHT strategy? ANSWER: When the industry starts implementing your solution. Food Lion is deploying “Grab & Go” Food Lockers in rural markets. Unlike Ziscuit that deploys these lockers in public places, Food Lion deploys their lockers in their stores (like Morrisons in the UK). The drawback to this approach is that in-store deployments compete for resources with traditional store operations. Food Lion, Ziscuit can solve this problem. Ziscuit continues to move where the puck is headed. Don’t Risk It. Just #ziscuit!
